Today I want to showcase a cocktail from the WC regionals this year. Tale of Two Islands 2 1/4oz Ron Zacapa 23 1/2oz Lemon Juice 1/2oz Lime Juice 1oz Sour Sop Syrup 6 Dashes House Angostura Blend Garnish: Fresh Mint Sprig Method: Add all ingredients into a Boston Shaker. Add ice, shake, and strain into a tiki mug over pebble ice. Then garnish with a fresh sprig of Mint. I am so thankful for the World Class Experience. I can’t wait to be back. It was such a great learning experience where I met so many other awesome bartenders who love their craft and truely care about hospitality. I had a blast learning and getting to know the other bartenders and judges. For anyone competing in any competition always remember we all do this everyday, being hospitable and making drinks. The judges are people just like all of us, just thirsty people ready to imbibe and enjoy a drink with you. Live in the moment, serving a cocktail, and telling a story about your serve allows you to bring in personal things about you to curate a unique experience for someone. Enjoy the process, learn, and take notes along the way. Cheers and thank you to the @worldclassus team and everyone else who helped me along the way including my beverage team and friends.

Think of an Amuse-Bouche before your meal. This cocktail was inspired by a food and bev experience I had while adventuring overseas. It’s meant to be a burst of flavor on your palate that is very bright and does not linger.
