⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a callout to every reader who loves smart romance, rivals to lovers, and intellectual idiots who are as smart in their profession as they are stubborn in their romantic lives. 𝑳𝒐𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒃𝒚 𝑨𝒍𝒊 𝑯𝒂𝒛𝒆𝒍𝒘𝒐𝒐𝒅 is a collection of her three previously released audiobook STEMinist novellas: Under One Roof, Stuck with You, and Below Zero. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that Ali Hazelwood has cemented herself as not only a brilliant storyteller, but one who enchants readers with humor, beguiles them with fiercely smart women in science professions, and empowers readers with romances that are both emotional and addictive. Loathe to Love You also includes a bonus chapter told from the POV of the men in each of these stories: Liam, Erik, and Ian. With each of the novellas, the bromance grows between these three men who have been thrust together through the friendships of their women. Since this entire review is essentially a thesis as to why I love Ali Hazelwood, then I would assume that you have already queued up Loath to Love You and will one-click accordingly. Happy Reading! 🐝Jes [ID: Digital book cover of "Loathe to Love you" by Ali Hazelwood, with bee hive graphics in the background. Stolen moments. Hidden gestures. Right now. It was not enough. Not when I had finally discovered what I needed in my life. THIS. IS. WRONG. I know I am not the only one who worries when I go to a festival or amusement park. I am not the only one who looks for emergency exits at the movie theater. I am not the only one who is ultra-aware of people around me. No one should go to a celebration of culture, joy and the new year and leave traumatized, injured or in a body bag. NO ONE. Whether because of mental illness or hate, no matter the cause, WHEN DOES OUR GOVERNMENT TAKE ACTION TO STOP THIS? When do we start SERIOUSLY looking at how we CHANGE our world before there is nothing left to save? To my Chinese and Chinese American friends, I grieve with and for you. I see you too. I see your fear, your rage, your anguish. I see your exhaustion after the last three years of Asian hatred and I know that you deserve better than this. You always did. I am praying but more importantly, I am dialing and emailing my representation tomorrow. NO MORE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. END THIS VIOLENCE.
I gave Rachel Van Dyken a shot when I read her novella for 1001 nights, Mafia King. Turns out the mafia scene isn’t really my style; however, I like Rachel’s style. I immediately checked her backlist and found “The Dark Ones“. Monster romance is more my vibe. 🔥😉 Genesis, the human heroine of our story, has been raised to understand that she’s ugly and worthless. All humans are worth nothing. Genesis might be the pivotal human that can save the immortals. It’s not immediately clear, but both the immortal king, and an elder vampire are smitten with her. What occurs next is race against time and the powers of immortals. Genesis finds friends and enemies in unexpected places. Life with her new immortal pack might be better than anything she experienced as a human, if she can survive it. 🐝Kristin ⭐=4 [ID: Digital book cover of "The Dark Ones" by Rachel Van Dyken, with bee hive graphics in the background.
