Out of all the food festivals this summer, Taste of the FLX is super unique. Why? 🎟️ Instead of paying as you go, there is an entrance fee and then unlimited samples once inside. Those samples include food, wine, beer, desserts, and more. 👗 The event is upscale! It’s a great opportunity to dress up with your friends on a weeknight and eat delicious food. 💰 The proceeds stay LOCAL. In 2022, the festival raised over $26,000 for local non-profits focused on healthy food, food security, and food justice: Food Bank of the Southern Tier, Healthy Food for All, Youth Farm Project 🪴 The festival is focused on sustainability, using eco-friendly plates and sample cups 🍷 There are recommend wine and food pairings to enjoy throughout the evening 🎶 Live music will keep you entertained as you eat your way through the event

If you haven’t done a garden party at @crazydaisiesflowers yet, you are missing out! Earlier this week I attended a garden party with @katelyn_mccarthy_realtor hosted by @shpbrandbash… and it was SO MUCH FUN! We started with a round of drinks to sip on during introductions and networking with fellow female small business owners. Then we headed into the greenhouses to learn some tips for choosing plants for our planters - we each got to pick 5 plants. I went with a mix of dark purple and white flowers with a Wojo’s Jem vinca vine. (Wojo is a family name, so I had to include it! 💕) While we were browsing and planting, @sarahheppellphotography took a variety of posed and candid shots of each of us. In the end, we all went home with new connections, a beautiful planter, and 2 professional photos. I’d recommend joining one of Sarah’s brand bashes or other events in a heartbeat! Her style of photography is fun, relaxed, and lighthearted. Perfect for easing my photo nerves. PS, you can book a private garden party for you and your friends at @crazydaisiesflowers as well! UPDATE: Owners have been found! Poor buddy was missing for about a week but he’s back home now. Thanks for all who shared. FOUND! Small male Yorkie found wandering Empeyville Road in Camden. My husband was driving his tractor trailer down the road and this little guy wouldn’t get out of the way. The dog is very skinny with matted fur - he hasn’t been in a home for some time, but he did have a flea collar on. When my husband opened the door to his truck, the dog jumped right in. Dog has NO tags and is NOT microchipped. My husband brought him to the nearest vet, but they couldn’t take him. He will be brought to Camden Dog Control later this afternoon. Please note that we are NOT looking for anyone to rescue or foster this dog. We are only looking for his owners so he can be brought home.

Ice cream solves all problems. (Unless you’re lactose intolerant, of course.) When it’s 8:49 pm and you text your husband “Want to go get ice cream? We have to go NOW” any argument you might have been having no longer matters. Big Dip always has been and always will be my favorite local I’ve cream shop. It helps that it’s walking distance from my house… but tonight we drove because we were on a time crunch! We got in line at 8:56, and even though the clock struck 9 right as we went to place our order, we got our ice cream served with a smile, as always. Thanks for being awesome, Big Dip 🍦 PS - did you know that Big Dip serves vegan ice cream?
