Universal Studios Photo dump! We decided to spend two days at the park to not tire ourselves out and it worked really well for us. But spring break is definitely one of the most popular times of the year to come! It was SO busy and crowded with hour long wait times for all rides. But here’s what we did to make the best of it! 1. Buy a season’s pass from Costco! With a 5 year old and no stroller, I didn’t think we could do the entire park in one day. So instead of trying to cram all the things in one day, I decided to spread out between two days. Turns out that the Costco season’s pass was cheaper than a 2 day pass and now we can go back! 2. Check the @unistudios app for the parks hours as it changes often. Get there as soon as it’s open. 3. Use the app to track the wait times for the rides! 4. Ride your favorite rides first thing in the morning. Each day we picked our top 2-3 rides and rode them in the morning. Wait times were around 10-30 mins before noon. 5. After 1pm the park was so crowded but it seemed like most people were waiting in lines for rides so we were able to eat and shop at most places and they were not too crowded. 6. The character wait lines were not bad at all. If you see one, get in the line asap. The line moves quickly and we got to meet a lot of our favorite characters (my fave was Hello Kitty of course!) We headed to sunny Los Angeles ☀️ for spring break and we are loving it! I wanted to stay somewhere close to @unistudios and @thegarland was highly recommended by so many people! And we are so excited to be hosted by @thegarland for our stay! Now that we are here I can tell you it’s seriously the best! Our room is spacious, there is a very fun outdoor pool along with tons of activities for the kids. They also have a free trolley to take you right to @unistudios, so it’s super convenient. And the food! My husband and I made a big decision over a year ago to have him quit his job and join my business. Working side by side has brought us closer, not just in our business, but in managing our household too We have the freedom to travel when we want and create content on a schedule that works for us. But the best part is being there for every moment for our kids. From school pickups to snuggles when they’re under the weather, and cheering them on at all their activities. 🩷 As busy as we are with work and kids, we always make time for us. We’ve been together 20+ years (!!), married for 15 years yet we never want to spend time apart! We’ve always done weekly dates, from brunches to coffee, to dinner and concerts, we love to do it all. But I’ve never actually documented it for my instagram! So thought I’d start a new series where I share what I wore and our favorite date spots. Last week we hit up one of my faves @nanasgreenteawa in Bellevue, which not only has amazing matcha everything but their croissants are SO good. We also highly recommend the Genmai-Cha.
