Most people have now heard about Burano, Italy. But have you heard of Comacchio? I discovered this town on my own by literally zooming into northern Italy on Google Maps 🗺️ To my surprise, I came across a photo of this town which looked like a replica of the colorful 🌈 town of Burano in Italy. Despite the lack of information about no this place, I was determined to explore it. A local even told me it was not worth the trek and if I thought it was like Burano I’d be disappointed. I was almost swayed to not go but I had a gut feeling about this place. And let me tell you, getting there was not easy. As this place had no public transport links, I had to pay for an expensive taxi to get there from the closest town, Ravenna. To me, it was well worth it. So, I hopped on a taxi and embarked on a journey to uncover this hidden gem. After I arrived I was immediately struck by the beauty of this charming town. Every building was painted in a different color, just like in Burano. Maybe not as brightly colored but I really saw the resemblance. What made this place even more special was the fact that it was completely off the tourist radar. There were no crowds or queues, just the locals going about their daily lives. It was a true hidden gem that I felt lucky to have discovered. 5 favorite Wisteria Locations in London 💜 1. Peckham Rye Park (pictured!) Located in South London you would be surprised to find this one as West London is typically where people go to see Wisteria! 2. Canning Place: Canning Place is located in South Kensington. This picturesque street features a beautiful white home draped with wisteria vines. 3. Horbury Mews: This might be one of my favorite wisteria spots in London. It is tucked away on a quiet pathway in Notting Hill. There are so many adorable houses here and the wisteria-covered home is truly special. 4. Ladbroke Road: I felt this wisteria was the most delicate and fairytale-like of all the others I had seen. It was so pretty and I love the street photos you can get here. 5. St. Luke’s Mews: St. Luke’s Mews is one of my favorite streets in London with the brightly painted pink building and always a bike out front. A mews is an old horse stable. Mews streets in London are the prettiest hidden streets! Have you heard of this small picturesque village Greece 🇬🇷? One of my favorite things to do is discover these quiet little places away from all the tourists. Prodromos was just that. I went in peak summer and was able to wander these white stunning streets with pops of color with no other tourists in site. No, the Netherlands 🇳🇱 is not just Amsterdam! There are so many unique towns to discover and here is a little non touristy guide for you to save! BEEMSTER This little town is part of the UNESCO World Heritage for its unique polder area (used to control water for centuries. Here you’ll find tulip fields 🌷and one I visited was Nicolaashoeve. This is an unknown place to tourists unlike the famous flower fields of Keukenhof and Lisse so you’ll have it literally to yourself! I also visited a cheese farm 🧀(@kaasboerderijgroot) and the cutest little windmill here! AALSMEER Home to the largest flower auction in the world! As well as a historical garden 🪴 I much loved visiting. Historische Tuin (@historischetuinaalsmeer), a gorgeous, centuries-old garden located in Aalsmeer. After you can take a boat 🚤 ride to see a lilac greenhouse! (@westeinder_rondvaart) ZAANDAM If you’ve ever seen the unique lego like building on your insta feed that is actually a hotel believe it or not and it is located in Zaandam! Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Zaandam (@inntelhotelsamsterdamzaandam), hotel’s facade is made up of 70 traditional Dutch 🏘️ that have been stacked on top of each other, creating a striking architectural feature in the town. Not only that Zaanse Schans, is nearby and you can see the many windmills here and charming Dutch houses especially in the neighborhood of Gortershoek. HAARLEM 
Haarlem is one of my favorite towns in the Netherlands. It is so quaint and charming and has so many local vibes. Grab a coffee ☕️, sit in a cafe, wander the nice streets. ARRIVE 🚆53 minutes direct train from London Kings Cross to Canterbury West TO DO 🌸 Admire the beautiful flowers and see the boats passing by. There are so many places to sit down in the park to relax. 🚣‍♀️Go punting along the River Stour! This is seriously the most relaxing thing to do and you can either choose the nature or the city route. I booked a private one with my friend for a total of £32 via @westgatepunts and choose the nature route. There are also other companies like @canteburypuntingcompany where you can have a guided group tour and learn history about the city too. 🚶‍♂️Take a walking tour to learn about the city’s medieval history. ⛪ Visit the Canterbury Cathedral, in which the city is truly centered around. ⭐ Checkout St. Augustine’s Abbey. It is one of most important monasteries in England and is now a fascinating ruin to explore. 🏡 see the crooked house which was built in the 1600s and is in fact crooked! Inside you’ll find a bookstore. TO EAT & DRINK 🍅🍽️ The Goods Shed (@thegoodsshed_): A farm to table restaurant with a farmers market where you can buy local cheese and products 🍳🥓 The Refectory Kitchen (@refectory_kitchen): A cozy cafe with a homely atmosphere, serving brunch and coffee. 🍵🍰 Tiny Tim’s Tearoom (@tinytimstearoom) A charming English tea room
