Baker loves watching Pip but Pip has absolutely no fear and will attack 🦖

Hi 👋🏻 Taking a break from just lurking to share some goings ons! Today, Cooper had surgery to remove a mass from his right eyelid. It popped up a couple months back and we thought it was cherry eye but the regular vet confirmed it was not and referred us to an eye specialist. Instead, it was a tumor caused by chronic inflammation inside of his eyes likely from some sort of mild, underlying auto immune disorder. The tumor is being sent off to be tested but prognosis is great and we’re not terribly concerned. He will most likely need to continue eye ointment or drops for the foreseeable future to manage the inflammation. He also has the beginnings of a cataract forming in his left eye so we will be continuing to monitor that going forward. Cooper is none the wiser and is the best, most happiest boy! Marley is still of course, the very best girl and queen of the house. Baker has been enjoying his yard time with the beautiful spring/summer weather we’re having. Pip has also settled in amazingly (despite sampling some flesh from a few friends and family members 🙃). All is good in our little corner and I’m mostly just here for the chats and story posts these days.

Happy March! I have many exciting things happening this month. If you haven’t seen, we are getting a new feathered addition 🦜 who will be coming home next weekend! I’ll also be heading to Orlando later this month for work to attend the Global Pet Expo! I’m very excited for my first show and can’t wait to see and meet some familiar faces 🥰 Let me know if you’ll be there as well! And @kasteltriana ‘s birthday is this month 🎂

We’re mostly just lurking on here these days 👀 but I’ve still got plenty to share from our New Hampshire trip! This hike in the White Mountains kicked all of our butts.. well except Cooper.. he feels no pain 😂 but Kastel and Marley and me were STRUGGLIN for a couple days for how sore we were 🙈 It was totally worth it though!
The difference a few camera settings can make —> I loved playing around with my camera settings to capture the motion of this waterfall. 99% of the time I want the subject to crisp and clear and unmoving but water shouldn’t always be confined to a millisecond of time. It’s always moving, always changing and always shaping its surroundings.
