I'm the reason you slightly tilt your phone away from others when you're scrolling. I cover all things vagina - sex, periods, body positivity, breasts, birth, postpartum, mental health and so much more. I've worked with brands like Good Clean Love, Bloody Buddy Menstrual Cup, Vush, THINX, and reviewed books like Beyond the Pill and The Fifth Vital Sign. I'm currently starting a podcast (and looking for advertisers!) and excited for what the future holds for this community and platform I've built!

It's Sunday πŸŒ… #sundayfunday #sundayfunnies

"I think at this point I've had more peer pressure to try menstrual cups than drugs." Where are my cup lovers at?!

I am not a self-defense expert, but I have taken many self-defense classes throughout my life and unfortunately I've had to use that training several times. After posting a bit about this on stories I was asked to put some of this information in a reel. We often see men getting hit in the testicles in the media and might think this is the key to escaping an attack. It is not. Testicles are usually well protected behind denim and zippers, and you should never attempt to kick a man in an act of self-defense (unless you are Bruce Lee). Always keep both feet on the ground unless you're stomping their instep. The best line of defense we have is our voice. Be loud, be mean, be scary and make sure everyone around you knows something is wrong. Always yell fire, not help. Remember we have voice activated phones that can call for help for us. The goal is always to GET AWAY, not to stick around and fight. You want him to believe that assaulting you will not be easy and that you will not be going down without a fight. Predators are typically looking for the path of least resistance, show him that is not you. If you do get in a physical altercation, go for the eyes and the instep. If he can't see you or walk/run after you, you can get away. If he grabs you, go limp and heavy. If he's threatening you while in a car, buckle up because you're about to crash your car (or at least drive erratically enough to get pulled over). Practice this. It takes training to overcome our biological responses of fight, flight and freeze, and even with training it's difficult when you're in real danger. Never feel ashamed about being assaulted, the only person that should feel shame in an assault is the one doing the assaulting. Stay safe out there friends. I hate that we have to talk about this stuff. I wish it wasn't safer out there with the bears.

There's so many layers to this that I hate as I think about it... The likelihood of getting help from people passing by if a bear was attacking you seems like it would be higher. The bear can't talk so it can't lie and say it wasn't attacking you. People wouldn't question if you said you were attacked by a bear and wouldn't ask what you were wearing or why you were hiking. Bears don't r pe people, so you wouldn't have to deal with that. Now I need to go look up stats about whether you're more likely to die in a bear attack or being attacked by a man... update in comments... What else would you add??

SUNDAY SERMON. I really loved this thought from @hiltoncarter πŸ’šπŸ’š I had to share it with you all. I met him at an event with @happyhappyhouseplant last night and it was just lovely listening to two plant lovers finding joy in plants! I believe finding peace and happiness in life is one of the most overlooked pieces of good health - and it's especially beautiful meeting people that have not only found their happiness, but love to share it with the world. "There's not enough time to do the thing that isn't making you happy." Happy Sunday πŸŒΏπŸ’š #hiltoncarter #plantlovers

Want a quick guide to optimizing your life around your menstrual cycle?? I have so many options. β†˜οΈ SUBSCRIBE to my email list for a freebie with some helpful charts! Comment FREEBIE and I'll DM you a link! β†˜οΈ BUY my journal to learn and create a daily practice (daily journaling was the key for me!) If you comment FREEBIE I'll include a link to my journal too! β†˜οΈ DOWNLOAD a menstrual cycle tracking app like @theagendaperiod 🩸 Once you start tracking your cycle and understanding how to work with your hormones instead of against them, THEN you can start optimizing your life! It's a game-changer, especially during seasons when life is very full. Also, I have to acknowledge that so much of the reason I survived school was because I had SO MUCH SUPPORT from my husband and others that helped me along the way. #cyclicalliving #trackyourcycle #fertilityawareness #cyclesyncing #cyclesyncingmethod

TAKING CHARGE OF YOUR FERTILITY is required reading. This should be a class we all take in high school. It is NECESSARY reading. I bought it thinking it would be arduous and boring and then couldn't put it down once I started it. It reads like your best friend's blog, educates you about EVERYTHING you need to know and arms you with essential knowledge for having a vagina. I've now owned and given away 20+ copies. It's just that good. Get yourself a copy and thank me later - it pairs perfectly with my journal or any cycle tracking apps (like @theagendaperiod ) It's never been more important to understand your cycle, fertility signs and more. This book isn't just for getting pregnant or avoiding pregnancy, it's for everything in-between and beyond too. When I say necessary reading, I mean it! I'll put an Amazon link in my stories! Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility??

🌞 SUNDAY FUNNIES 🌞 #sundayfunday #sundayfunnies

In 2020 I set out to design an educational plush that included the full c|itoris, instead of just the tip. I was shocked to find most educational plushies did not include this crucial piece of the female anatomy - especially considering that vu|va plushies are typically used for s x education. Never one to shy away from a challenge, and adamant to further education about female pleasure, I spent the next 2 years going back and forth with factories on the design (with so much help from @befulfilled_ ) MOST FACTORIES wouldn't even touch the project, so when we finally found one that would, and could do a good job, I ordered them and then waited almost another year for them to get here. It's been a long road, but I'm really proud of Ruby and BEYOND THRILLED to see her contributing to better education about female pleasure. I love seeing everyone's faces when I show how big the clitoris is as part of the vu|va anatomy, especially when I'm showing fellow educators or therapists that get how awesome it is to have a representation of the entire vu|var c|itoral vag|nal complex. Raise your hand if you have your very own Ruby!!

I'm loving this trend - seeing people's vulnerability is so grounding. It turns out what we see on social media is never the full picture (who knew?) πŸ™ƒ
