Based out of Mount Pleasant, WI, I fell in love with running from the first moment I picked it up in middle school as "something to do" with a couple of friends. Shortly after running turned into a passion and I competed at a high level through college to present day running at the semi-pro level. I love being healthy and developing proper techniques to ensure I am running efficiently to get the most out of my training while staying healthy. I’m extremely passionate about the process and ready to help my clients develop or improve theirs to reach their goals. I know that what might work for one person won't necessarily work for another, so I aim to individualize each training plan to meet the specific needs of each runner.

Adding little things, even as small as hydrating more, to your training plan to supplement your running is beneficial. I have added links to helpful YouTube videos and blog posts I have put together to help you get started! This list of little things is endless and individualistic to your needs, schedule, and goals. Some 🔑 little things to add to your training plan are: - Rolling out all your leg muscles. Rolling out helps aid the recovery process by relieving delayed onset muscle soreness. It can also increase flexibility, making you a more efficient runner! - Mobility routines are beneficial, whether performed before or after your run. It can help you open up your hip flexors if you sit all day. Opening up your hip flexors will increase your range of motion. - The myrtle routine also improves range of motion by strengthening your core and hip flexor muscles. Both muscle groups play a big role in being efficient and decreasing your chances of injury. Do you see a common theme here? That's because of how beneficial being an efficient runner is to reaching your goals and staying healthy in the process! It’s also beneficial to perform these little things consistently throughout your training plan and not only when you face an injury or setback. As the consistency will decrease chances of injury and improve performance. Staying consistent comes down to having the desire to get the most out of your training. What will set you apart isn't the running, it's what you do the other 22-23 hours to help reach your goals.

Taking it one week at a time and falling in love with the process. 5 weeks out from a rust buster half marathon and the first race in 1.5 years, come April. It’s been a long wait for races to finally start popping up again. But that time has only allowed me to improve my weaknesses and build on my strengths! Find the positives in every situation and you will come out better. This race will also be the inaugural race of our new ZRC racing singlets 🔥 Not sure what I’m more excited about, finally racing again or racing in this singlet for the first time 🤔 #runnersofinstagram #runningmotivation #runningcoach #fitnessjourney #smallbusinesssaturday #halfmarathontraining
Slowly getting back into the grove and getting my legs under me again after feeling heavy the last couple of weeks with adding mileage and strength training. I am also excited to have only 5 weeks till my rust buster half marathon and the first race in 1.5 years, come April. It has been tough going that long without a race and I’ll admit it was tough mentally but it was also an opportunity to get better! The race in April will be a straight shot down an old rail road track on crushed gravel. Oh, it’s basically downhill the whole way. So if you’re looking for an awesome Spring race opportunity, look up the Pine Line Marathon in Medford! This race will also be the inaugural race of our new ZRC racing singlets 🔥 Not sure what I’m more excited about, finally racing again or racing in this singlet for the first time 🤔
Today was 30 degrees colder than Saturday. It would have been easy to let focusing on that negative, instead of the day's goal, ruin the run. While the cold still sucked, the run went well with a positive mindset. A lot of reaching your goals comes down to your mindset and staying strong mentally. Don't let what you can't control affect you, because you won't be able to control the weather come race day! That being said, I can't wait to run in the summer heat. 🙌🏼 #runnerscommunity #runningmotivation #marathontraining #halfmarathontraining #wisconsinrunner

Training Tip Tuesday⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Leave your watch at home from time to time. Then pick a route that you know.
