The Appalachian Trail yesterday coming down from the summit of Bear Mountain in @bearmountainstatepark . By all we can tell, this is not an area where there is an existing creek or stream. We were in the center of the record heavy rainfall that occurred in southeastern New York. Estimates I’ve seen were anywhere from 8-11 “ falling in just a few hours. We did not attempt to cross this, and we are safe.
