I did not realize how hard it would be to choose all the lighting for our new home. #ad Throughout the process, I found that I was really gravitating towards these clear glass and open lighting fixtures. I love the statement that they make. Now that all the lighting is up and I can see them all together, I’m thrilled with how they look. With all the clear glass and exposed bulb fixtures, I also wanted to use filament decorative bulbs. @feitelectriclighting is the first to have these with a white filament (typically they’re yellow). It seems like such a small detail, but the switch makes a huge impact both when the lights are on and when they’re off. I love the elevated look these lightbulbs have given our spaces in the rooms where we’ve added them. I just got back from my visit to Walmart in Springfield, Ohio, to celebrate International Women’s Day! #ad It was such a great opportunity to meet some of the women who work at Walmart and Celebrate All She Is with @Walmart, @hersheys and @shespeaksup. I got a chance to meet Lauren, a pharmacist at Walmart who is also part of an all-female pharmacy tech team. We set up a snack bar in the break room for Walmart associates to relax, fuel themselves with a balanced snack and enjoy some of Hershey’s limited edition SHE bars. Lauren is really passionate about women getting the opportunity to care for their whole selves, and I loved being able to help her lift up and recognize her fellow team members for all that they do. I’m a big believer that we all have the opportunity to impact those around us every single day and in the importance of women supporting and cheering on other women. Who inspires you? I just got the final design for Hannah’s bedroom back from @thehavenly! What do you think? Should I go for the floral wallpaper or not? Who are the women who inspire you the most? #AD I’m so blessed to have many women inspire me throughout my life and currently, but my grandmother is always the one I think of the most. She has the most incredible stories about her childhood in China and then coming back over the United States as a teenager. Her husband, my grandfather, passed away really young, so to me, she has always been this strong, resilient, independent woman. I’m so excited to be partnering with @hersheys and @walmart to “Celebrate All She Is” on International Women’s Day. I’m headed in-store at the Walmart in Springfield, OH this Wednesday with the Hershey’s limited edition SHE bars and to help recognize the amazing women who are associates at Walmart. If you need me, I’ll be in the kitchen. We ordered this stove from @cafeappliances over a year ago and I swear it looked smaller in the showroom. I’m obsessing over how amazing it looks and can’t wait to cook on it. Huge shoutout to @bigsandysuperstores here in Columbus - their customer service has been incredible every step of the way!

Moving week apparently also includes one kid with an ear infection and another with an ear infection AND a repeat case of strep throat. Anyone want to take bets on whether the third kiddo comes down with either of those? It’s only Wednesday and I’m ready for a break. 😴
