Marseille in photos 🧡 Marseille, the oldest city in France, surprised me in the best way! It’s beautiful, walkable and filled with fun things to do! It should absolutely be one your south of France bucket list stops Things you can’t miss in Marseille: 🤍soap shops & museum - Marseille is famous for its soap and was once the soap capital of the world 🤍visit chateau d’if - a fortress on an island about 1 mile from Marseille, it’s a former prison and also the setting of the famous novel the count of monte cristo 🤍go on a food tour - Marseille has such a great food scene and there are so many dishes that are local and famous in the city! I definitely recommend trying panisse (chickpea french fries), navettes (boat shaped biscuits) and aioli (a garlicky spread that’s great with a baguette) I just published my guide on twosistersabroad.com for how to spend one perfect day in Marseille! DM us if you’d like us to send it to you! #marseillemaville #marseillejetaime #marseillegram #suddelafrance

Alexandria makes a fantastic day trip from DC, but it is also a wonderful weekend getaway if you’re visiting from further away. There is a nice park to relax in, and on a warm sunny day it’s the perfect place to be. You are able to tour the home, to see what life was like for a family living in Alexandria, Virginia in the 1800s; or you can simply tour the gardens.
