There’s nothing wrong with making new friends at all! I just thought that I was set, but as I’ve shared with you things change. I’ve also learned that there are truly seasons for everything to happen under the sun. I live optimistically and I’m open to cultivating friendships no matter the age. I’ve been purging for the last few weeks and I’ve found some things that made me reflect on how far we’ve come as a family. Sweet Mommy and me time with my beautiful daughters @teaaroundtownnyc ! The girls and I got dressed up and enjoy an awesome tour around downtown DC. Historical museums, monuments, and museums were the highlights of the trip. We enjoyed petite sandwiches, dessert, raspberry tea, and spring water during our 70 minute tour. The bus is absolutely beautiful and our tour guide was amazing ! Have you tried @vanleeuwenicecream !?! ( SWIPE) OMG!!! The girls and I went to check out their ice cream for the first time on a mommy and me date and it was a sweet time! They have a variety of French ice cream flavors with vegan options as well. We were able to taste as many flavors as we desired making it hard to select a favorite. The girls and I ended up with cookies n’ cream and I added a scoop of honey comb as well. At the beginning of the year my husband and I committed to not buying all the toys and dolls we typically buy throughout the year. I’m happy to report we have stuck by it so far. Turns out kids don’t really need all they THINK they want. When I was a kid my mom would say we will get it “ next week” I know she used that term to basically say no 😂 What do you say when your kids are asking for stuff and the answer is “no”? The girls and I were on Capitol Hill yesterday for an in- person conversation with Zachary Levi and Zooey Deschanel from the new movie @haroldmovie !! 🎉 The girls were very excited to sit in the Library of Congress to check out the sneak peek clips in an intimate setting.
