Zuppa Gallurese recipe, hearty comfort food from Sardinia

but if like me, you enjoy travelling with your taste buds, I’ve plenty of delicious recipes to share with you collected on my travels. Today’s Zuppa Gallurese recipe from the Italian island of Sardinia is real comfort food at its best. I’ve seen recipes with different cheeses being used including Casizolu mixed with Pecorino but I’ve stuck with the recipe a Sardinian friend gave me using three different kinds of local cheese. While today the sun is shining in a glorious blue sky, I’m sure we’ve not seen the last of the chilly weather before spring finally arrives.

The people of Kerala #humanbynature

From the remote hill tribes of the Western Ghats and the villagers of the sleepy backwaters to the Kathakali dancers of the city of Cochin, take a glimpse at the unique lifestyles of the people of Kerala. In the jungle of the Western Ghats not far from Thekkady, following a chance meeting earlier that day, we visit a tribe living in the forest and spend an evening with the men of the village. Drifting along the network of Kerala’s backwaters offers another unique insight into the lives of the people living here. What contrasting lives the people I met in Kerala have – the forest hill tribes, the plantation owners and workers, the villagers of the backwaters, and the Kathakali dancers.

From snowshoes to grizzly bears, 7 magical memories of Canada in spring

I had a fabulous time discovering a snowy Ontario one April, including seeing the spectacle of a frozen Niagara Falls and a mystical winter-white Lake Superior. It was a visit to Persephone Brewery on the Sunshine Coast of Canada one glorious day in June that sparked the change when my taste buds turned their backs on cider in preference to beer. I love ordering a beer flight so I can try a range of beers on offer finishing in a rich dark beer, such as the stout I enjoyed at Amsterdam Brewery in Toronto with notes of chocolate and coffee, and a vanilla finish. UK nationals (and anyone else, except U. S. citizens, who do not hold either a valid Canadian passport, Canadian Permanent Resident Card (PRC) or a Canadian visa, as well as a valid passport), need to purchase an eTA before buying tickets to Canada.
