My last dump in NY so I had to show sum love to my art studio (ft a face card 🖤) A year & a half ago, I moved back to NY from DC in one of the worst mental states I’ve been in. I had no clue where my life was going & I was extremely insecure about my path as an artist, my worth as a woman and trust in God. Hoping to brighten things up for me a bit, my aunt took me on a surprise trip to Home Depot to buy some paint to redesign my art studio. This room has been my sanctuary ever since. Its given me space to reconnect with myself, my creativity and most importantly, with God. It’s been the birthplace of my greatest ideas, moments of hard cries, renewed self reassurance and the execution of numerous projects I never imagined being apart of. Over a year later, I never imagined healing this much, let alone such a small room having such a great impact. I never imagined gaining this new sense of self worth and confidence in every aspect of my life. I’ve learned that sometimes, God has to remove us from one space and place us elsewhere to prepare us for our reentry. Sometimes, all we need is a little space. Space to heal, to uncomfortably sit with ourselves, space to reevaluate who we are & are on the path of becoming. It’s with immense gratitude that I say goodbye to this space as I start a new season in DC.

What should I name this one? 🧐 (I got something for the best answer) I’ve been doing a lot of line-work and outlining recently so I thought I’d go back to my roots & try the airbrush brushes again (first learned procreate using the airbrushes).
