From the earlier Live! * I’ve been volunteering with @777spectracarefoundation for a few months now. They provide different services for At-Risk Seniors, Veterans, and Animals. One of the many services is Equine Therapy for the Veterans suffering with PTSD. It’s a big deal. The reality of many Veterans is harrowing, to say the least. * @forgottenangelsequinerescue1 provides the rescued Horses - (they’re saved from violent slaughter) to bond with the Veterans. This was an Open House event for the Veterans today and it went very well. One of the horses, Dreamer (last slide, bottom center), gave me a couple licks 🐴. Forgotten Angels, you’re amazing. * I’m fortunate to know Seniors that provide a wealth of wisdom and information and the heart of SpectraCare is SUPER pure. Did I also mention that their developing veterans center is less than 6 minutes away? A few days ago, I was invited to an earned Art Celebration to showcase my children’s books I’ve illustrated as well as some canvas paintings I’ve done for Wissahickon Charter School. Shoutout to Chamaine Pugh-Edwards for offering the opportunity! This is my second time returning since the first invite by @mindingmysoulmeditation @soleilnsaigan_mom We did two different age groups. The little ones asked about 100 questions - the teacher had to turn the chat off lmaoo. After the second age group, one stayed with the teacher after everyone left and had the coolest personality and chatted a bit more. There were a LOT of artists in the group. A LOT. They showed me all their different art styles. One asked me the story behind one of my paintings and shocked the hell outta me - I wasn’t prepared to get that deep lmao. I tell ya man, I’m inspired by THEM. Children inspire me the most because of their wondrous imaginations and joy. Any and everything is possible with them. Their joy is unmatched and I get it. Why wouldn’t you want to be this close to what is so infinite? It’s why I’m a huge child. It’s where god is. About 2 months ago, I was interviewed by Lindenwold High School’s Daniel Johnson, Special Education Teacher and Community Based Instruction Program Coordinator AND the students to discuss J Green Multimedia (JGreenArt) and my YouTube children’s art show, @thepaintedfoolspainthouse I answered some REALLY good questions and showcased some of the children’s books I’ve illustrated over the course of the year.
