What good things did 2020 bring to you? Without writing a lengthy post, I think it’s fair to say everyone here is ready for the next year. Most people describe 2020 as lost when their travel plans were cancelled and dreams and aspirations put on hold. It’s easy to state the obvious and complain about things. And it’s much tougher to make your mind focus on things that might not be immediately obvious. So as we bid farewell to this year, let’s look at the positives that we had this year and appreciate them! Glass half full, you guys! 🍸 Happy New Year! . . . #cenotesmexico #cenotedosojos #cenotesyucatan #yucatanturismo #visityucatan #yucatantoday #quintanaroo #visitquintanaroo #mexicophoto #mexicomagico #wearetravelgirls #tulumstyle #tulumvibes #tulúm #chicasviajeras #misviajespormexico #viajaresvida #viajaresunplacer #viajarsola #méxicolindo #mytraveldiaryblog #travelblogers #mexicomiamor #girlswhotraveltheworld #exploremoretoday #centralamericatravel #sheisnotlost #travelbloggervibes #travelettes #mexicosorprendente

Top things to do in Tulum. Awesome guide for your next trip 🌴 ✅ Tulum Ruins - one of the biggest highlights of Tulum, the famous Tulum ruins is what remains from the ancient Mayan port city. ✅ Beaches - The Tulum area is home to many gorgeous beaches such as Playa Paraiso, Playa Ruinas and Las Palmas. ✅ Cenotes - Mexico’s Yucatán peninsula where Tulum is located is dotted with thousands of cenotes, cavers filled with Crystal clear blue water where you can swim. While you can spend days and even weeks touring some of the most beautiful cenotes, there are a couple of cenotes near Tulum that you can visit such as Dos Ojos, Calavera, Gran Cenote and Cenote Car Wash. PRO TIP: Make sure to arrive early, as they get crowded quickly! ✅ Coba - Coba is an ancient ruin site located less than one hour north of Tulum. It’s a perfect alternative to the popular Chichen Itza if you want to explore the ancient Mayan ruins. ✅ Muyil - A much less touristy site, Muyil sits about 25 minutes south of Tulum and boasts an impressive collection of ruins combined with a boardwalk around the lagoon. I highly recommend this site as it’s one of the least discovered spots near Tulum! ✅Sian Ka’an Biosphere Preserve - This is a definite must for anybody who comes to Tulum! Sian Ka’an is a UNESCO protected biosphere with gorgeous turquoise canals and amazing animals such as manatees and dolphins. To visit, you have to purchase a tour online or on the spot. ✅Akumal - Get your snorkeling game on and swim together with gorgeous sea turtles in Akumal. Located a short distance away from Tulum, this spot is one of the top snorkeling places in the area. . . . . #tulumbeach #tulumvibes #caribbeansea #caribbeanvacation #caribbeanbeach #caribbeanescape #tulumtulum #tulum🌴 #quintanaroomexico #méxicomágico #chicasviajeras #viajarpormexico #misviajespormexico #misviajes #exploremexico #mexicocaribbean #mexico🇲🇽 #visitmexico🇲🇽 #girlswhotravelsolo #girlswhotraveltheworld #traveladdict #centralamericatravel #centralamericatrip #exploremoretoday #mycolorfullife #teamomexico #mexicocolors #mexicocreativo #travelmoreoften #caribbeanvegan

When your taxi driver becomes your best photographer 🤗🚕 . . I always carry my tripod with me to take photos, but on my last trip to Mexico, I got lucky because my taxi driver Luis took a bike ride with me to a Cenote through the jungle and after that waited while I was taking a photos in front of Santo Domingo de Guzman Church and Convent in a small town Uayma. 📸 . After I took forever with my photoshoot (I always do), and it was time to leave, Luis offered to take a few shots. And guess what, they turned out to be the most awesome photos from this spot! As we drove around, Luis also told me about the local Yucatán culture and traditions and gave some tips on places to visit. . . It was a cool mini trip and what made it cool wasn’t even the places that I got to visit but my driver who was personable, fun and outgoing. I got a real taste of the Mexican culture and hospitality and had a blast on this mini adventure 💥 . . So in this post, I wanted to give a shout-out to Luis and all the Mexican people who have been so wonderful and welcoming on my last trip. You guys are awesome 🙌 . . . #mexicodesconocido #méxicomágico #uayma #valladolidyucatan #yucatanturismo #yucatantravel #valladolidmexico #méxicomágico #méxicolindo #visityucatan #amomexico #centralamericatravel #yucatanadventure #exploremexico #travelméxico #chicasviajeras #viajarpormexico #misviajes #misviajespormexico #travelgal #solotravelingisfun #girlswhoexplore #dametravelers #mexicantrip #iamtb #travelmoreoften #alwaysexplore #mexico_marvilloso #worldexplorers #adventureoften @mexicotravelchannel @mexicosorprendente @mexicoinmypocket @mexicodestinos @mexico_for_all @valladolidmx_ #cul_turismo @wearetravelgirls @wearethetravelgirls

When your guide is your photographer 📸 . What started as a random trip to the Mayan ruins, became one of the best travel memories. . On my trip to Muyil ruins near Tulum, I met @emepcaamal who gave me a an awesome tour, climbed a super tall tower with me and brought me to Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve where we took a swim in one of the canals. ☺️ Eme also turned out to be an awesome photographer who shot some really cool photos and videos when I needed his help. This was one of best memories of the entire trip, and to this day, I still wish I could back in time! . If you guys haven’t been to Sian Ka’an, you should go! It’s a true gem of Mexico with great scenery and tons of cool animals such as manatees, dolphins and even crocodiles! What’s your favorite beach? 🏝 . . The Caribbean Coast of Mexico is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! This especially goes for Tulum and the surrounding areas many of which remain relatively undiscovered despite the fact that Tulum has become so touristy in recent years. . So what did I do on my recent trip? I grabbed my camera and went to roaming in search of some cool hidden corners. . The further I went, the more cool places like this one I found! For example, this little gem sits just near the end of the main beach in Tulum. And guess what, I was nearly the only person there! 😎 I’ll be sharing more photos with you soon, guys! . . . . #tulúm #tulumruins #tulumbeach #tulumstyle #tulumlife #tulumlovers #mexicogreatshots #mexicocaribbean #pueblomagico✨ #pueblomagico #quintanaroomexico #quintanaroo #beachesoftheworld #tulumstyle #chicasviajeras #misviajes #viajarpormexico #méxicomágico #mexicoenfotos #méxicolindo #girlswhotravelsolo #centralamericatravel #caribbeanvacation #caribbeanbeach #mexicomiamor #mexicolife #exploremoretoday #travelmoreoften #mexicogreatshots #travelbloggervibes #mycolorfullife #authenticmexico @tulum @mexico_maravilloso @mexico_mx @mexicoesorgullo @mexicosorprendente @mexico_maravilloso @mexicoinmypocket @pueblosmagicosdemexico

Is Mexico safe to travel? . . This is probably one of the most commonly asked questions about Mexico from many travelers who have never been there. (And one of the most googled questions about the country 🤓) Mexico is a beautiful country, but sadly, it gets a lot of bad rep for its situation with corruption and drugs violence. . And unfortunately, the image of Mexico created by the media tends to perpetuate only one stereotype that leaves so many people wondering about whether this country is safe to visit. . During my last trip I tried to do my best to visit less touristy areas where I can get a better taste of the Mexican culture, talk to locals and otherwise, get a more authentic experience that takes you beyond the guided tours of Chichen Itza. . The truth is I didn’t go to any dangerous areas but I never felt unsafe or unwelcomed when I was traveling by myself. It was actually quite the opposite: everyone was very friendly, helpful and very polite. People were genuinely curious about what brought me to their country and why I decided to learn Spanish 📚 . And if you are still wondering whether you should visit Mexico or not, my answer is yes! Mexico has a lot to offer, it has the friendliest people, many cultures and some of the most amazing landscapes in Central America. As easy at is to fall for stereotypes and let news reports create an image in your head, it is your job to educate yourself on what’s happening in the country and make a decision on where to go and where not to go. . I hope everyone has a chance to see for themselves why Mexico should be on their bucket list! 🇲🇽😊 . . . #mexicogreatshots #mexicoturismo #yucatanturismo #yucatanmexico #visityucatan #yucatanpeninsula #visitmexico #méxicomágico #yucatanpeninsula #viajarpormexico #chicasviajeras #mexicoenfotos #girlsthatwander #iamtb @yucatantoday @yucatanturismo @topyucatan #izamal #pueblomagico✨ #backpackersmexico #mexicoturismo #visitmexico🇲🇽 #centralamericatravel #mexicomiamor #viajaresvivir #girlswhotravelsolo #girlswhotraveltheworld #sheisnotlost #yucatanmexico #mexicomagico #exploremexico #mexicoenfotos #travelmoreoften #girlswhoexplore #roamtravels #traveldreamseekers

Why you should get off the beaten track 👣 . On my recent trip to Mexico, I packed my bags early in the morning and took a bus from Merida to Uxmal, an ancient Mayan city that is considered one of the most important archaeological sites in the Mayan culture along with other sites such as Chichen Itza, Palenque and Calakmul. . Located about 40 minutes away from Merida, the capital of Yucatán, Uxmal takes time and effort to get to, so not many tourists make it here. And since the ongoing panemdic reduced the traffic to a trickle, when I arrived at the site, I was one of three tourists who were there by the time it opened. . As someone who loves to travel I completely acknowledge that the lack of tourists has had a terrible impact on the local economy and all the people who sell their goods near these places. But I also have to say that wandering around the ancient Mayan site in the morning, watching iguanas and marveling at the ruins while no one is there was the experience like no other . . And that’s why I think you too should get off the beaten track and explore more, guys 🗺 What do ya think?! 😉 . . . . #uxmal #uxmalruins #mochilerosenyucatan #yucatanpeninsula #yucatanmexico #yucatanpeninsula #meridayucatan #meridamexico #mayanruinsmexico @visitmeridamx #mexicocreativo #mexicodesconocido #mexicoturismo #misviajespormexico #chicasviajeras #viajaresvivir #viajarporelmundo @topyucatan @yucatanturismo #méxicomágico #mexicoteamo #yucatanpeninsula #exploremexico #visitmexico🇲🇽 #visityucatan #backpackersmexico #mochilerasviajeras #travelmoreoften #yucatantourism #girlswhowander #sheisnotlost #travelingladies #pinktrotters #dametraveler #travelmoreoften #chicasguapas @mexicotravelchannel @mexico_maravilloso @mexicosorprendente @mexicoesorgullo

One of the prettiest villages in Mexico 🇲🇽 ✨😍 Also called el pueblo amarillo (or the yellow village), Izamal is one of the most spectacular places to visit in Yucatán Peninsula. This little gem dates back to Mexico’s colonial times, however there are several theories about why this town was painted in yellow. 🎨 Designated as Pueblo Magico by the Mexican Government, Izamal is an absolute must for a day trip when you come to Yucatán. The easiest way to get here is by bus from Merida or Valladolid. Spend some time wondering the streets of this magical town, and I promise, you will not be disappointed! 🤩 . . . . . . #izamalyucatan #izamalmagico #pueblomágico #yucatantravel #yucatanmexico #mexicoturismo #méxicomágico #yucatanturismo #visityucatan #visitméxico #yucatánpenínsula #mexicotravels #mexicocreativo #mexicoistheshit #mexicoart @yucatanturismo @yucatantoday @topyucatan @yucatanadventures @izamalturismo #mexicosorprendente #iamtb #girlsthatwander #chicasviajeras #viajarpormexico #misviajespormexico #misviajes #viajaresvivir @mexicotravelchannel @mexicoinmypocket @mexico_maravilloso @mexicodesconocido @vistasmex @mexicodestinos #girlswhotravel #girlswhotravelsolo #travelbloggerslife #mexicotravelchannel #passionpassport #travelette #mexicomiamor
