how it started ➡️ how it’s going I know Barkley has a fan or two 🫶 so wanted to share an update about where we’ve been hiding the last several days… Our 4th of July weekend started off with a bang — and not from fireworks. We rounded out the holiday festivities with multiple emergency trips to our veterinarian. A few rounds of blood work and a couple to go, I think we’ve ruled out some of the scarier diagnoses (like the initial front runner, Addison’s Disease and Irritable Bowel Disease). We are now trying activated charcoal to help with diagnostics, and will take things from there. Although we don’t have an answer just yet, Barkley is in much better spirits. 🥹 …now to keep him that way. 20+ years strong and I am continuously grateful for having such caring and attentive veterinarians and staff at Gateway Animal Hospital.
