When I went back in 2018 I absolutely fell in love with the city and I can’t wait to go back again in the future. Here are a few of the best places to visit in Sarajevo: ✨Baščaršija Market: The heart of Sarajevo’s old town, Baščaršija is a bustling market square filled with historic buildings, traditional shops, and delicious food stalls. ✨Sarajevo City Hall: A stunning neo-Moorish building houses the National Library and is a symbol of Sarajevo’s cultural heritage. ✨Latin Bridge: This is a historic bridge where the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand happened , offering a picturesque view of the Miljacka River. ✨Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque: One of the most beautiful mosques in the Balkans, this Ottoman-era masterpiece is known for its intricate architecture and serene courtyard. ✨Sarajevo Tunnel Museum: A museum showcasing the underground tunnel used during the siege of Sarajevo in the 1990s. ✨Sarajevo Cable Car: For panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains, take a ride on the Sarajevo Cable Car up to Trebević Mountain. ✨Sarajevo War Childhood Museum: Dedicated to the experiences of children during the Bosnian War, this museum offers insights into the human impact of conflict. Save this for your next Greek islands trip! 🇬🇷 This tiny island in the Ionian Sea by far has the prettiest water I’ve seen in Greece. It’s known for its white-sand, Caribbean-like beaches. It’s also uninhabited aside from one hotel so it’s home to stunning, unspoiled nature (and some friendly cats!). 📍Antipaxos, Greece You can reach Antipaxos via water taxi from Corfu or Paxos. Would you stay at @lascatalinasvilla? 😍🤍 I recently spent two amazing nights at Casa Blanca in Las Catalinas, which is a luxurious villa in the heart of the town. This was definitely the most beautiful villa I’ve ever stayed at! I could have spent all day at the pool, looking out the porthole window 😍 Las Catalinas is a fairly new resort town in Guanacaste. It’s right next to what was my personal favorite beach we visited in Costa Rica, Playa Dante. This would be the perfect villa if you’re traveling with a group, as it sleeps up to 10 people and is VERY spacious. I just returned from the ULTIMATE Costa Rica adventure with @under30experiences 💚🤙 Costa Rica is the perfect country if you love adventure, rich culture, and beautiful beaches. I spent 4 days exploring Manuel Antonio with @under30experiences, where we hung out on the beach, went zip lining and canyoning with @quepo.canyoning.crew (as shown in this reel), made empanadas with locals, had great traditional food, saw beautiful wildlife, and made amazing friendships. Traveling to Costa Rica with a group is an awesome way to see the country. All transport, lodging, and activities are organized for you so all you have to do is book a flight and show up to start your adventure. It’s also super solo travel friendly and you’ll leave with new friends and lots of memories! One of my favorite days with @under30experiences was the canyoning day, where we hopped in a truck bed and were driven deep inside of the rainforest. We climbed up rope ladders, went on 3 zip lines, rappelled an 80-foot waterfall, walked on a (supported) tightrope, free-fell on 2 monkey monkey jumps (similar to bungee jumping but a little more beginner-friendly) and ended with a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch. Costa Rica’s most beautiful waterfall you can swim at 💚 The La Fortuna Waterfall is a must-visit during a Costa Rica trip. While Costa Rica has tons of waterfalls you can visit, not all of them allow swimming and most waterfalls with swimming holes are not nearly as impressive as this one: Here are my top things to keep in mind for when you visit: 💦The entry fee is 20 dollars per person, so try to maximize your time at the waterfall and nearby river to get your moneys worth! 💦The waterfall gets super busy, so if you want to get photos or experience it with very few people around (which I highly recommend), then plan to get there right when it opens at 7. I arrived at 7:30 and there were several people there, but it didn’t get super busy until 8:30 or 9:00. 💦Be ready for steps! There are 530 steps down to the waterfall and you’ll have to do them all again on the way up 😅 So worth it though. 💦Bring water shoes! Water shoes are essential in Costa Rica if you plan to swim in rivers or waterfalls. The swimming area is very rocky and slippery, so bring some water shoes that have traction and watch your step. 💦I really enjoyed swimming in the water near the waterfall, but keep in mind that it’s chilly and very choppy - definitely not somewhere you can relax for a super long time. There is a stream nearby that you can swim in as well, which is definitely more relaxing and I had SO much fun just cooling off in there and watching the different fish swim around. The most magical stay in Costa Rica 💜@theretreatcostarica We finally made it to this beautiful country! 💚🦥 We spent the first couple of nights relaxing at @theretreatcostarica, which is a luxurious wellness resort situated on top of a quartz mountain, overlooking the Pacific Ocean! The retreat truly took my breath away in so many ways! The views were amazing, the pools were amazing, the spa was amazing, and the food was amazing. Everything truly was just amazing. We loved waking up to stunning mountain views and listening to the birds chirping every morning. There are also lots of amenities available, including 2x day yoga classes, wellness cooking classes, a full service spa, gym, and 3 delicious organic meals per day. There are also hiking trails throughout the property that lead through the jungle to the on-site coffee plantation, rivers, gardens, and more!
