Visiting Italy this summer? Stay outside of the popular towns for the best views without the crowds! 🇮🇹🍕 We recently stayed in Venas di Cadore - a teeny tiny town located just 25 minutes from the popular Cortina d’Ampezzo. The town is along the famous bike and walking path — with a lovely bar and pizza shop. We got to experience a local Italian town without the crowds, while still being just a short drive to family hike such as Tre Cime and Lago di Sorapis. 🏔️ #dolomiti #dolomitesunesco #visitdolomites #visitnorthernitaly #visititaly #lagodisorapis #cortinadampezzo

summer in the Italian mountains > summer on the coast agree or disagree? ⬇️ we took two trips to the Dolomites this summer, staying in small towns both time and it was a dream! they first trip was to the (very small) town of Ranzo in the western Dolomites, and the second was to Venas di Cadore just a short drive from the popular Cortina d’Ampezzo. #dolomites #dolomiten #dolomiti #dolomitemountains #italianmountains #dolomitesunesco #eurosummer #europeansummer

Let me introduce you to the charming mountain town of Molveno — located in the western Dolomites. A town that I had never heard of or seen any photos of before visiting - despite it being my 3rd trip to this beautiful Italian mountain region. 🏔️🌺🇮🇹 A town that reminded me that there is SO much more to the world than just what you see on your devices. I read a beautiful piece by my talented friend @lostwithjess recently that had me reflecting on my relationship with travel and social media. About how often I feel that I know a place I’ve never visited, simply because my brain has been saturated by images and videos as I scroll my feed. How before I visit a destination, I religiously consume content to “prepare myself”, as if I’m not capable of exploring destinations on my own, without the help of 20 second video guides or Google reviews. So this is my reminder to you to never stop seeking out the unknown. To not be afraid to travel without a plan. To be okay with finding a spot on a map and setting off to explore it without already knowing all the ins and outs of the place ✨ #molveno #molvenolake #dolomiti #dolomites #dolomitesunesco #lagodimolveno

My kind of summer in Italy 🇮🇹🏔️💦 We got to visit the Dolomites twice this past month exploring some lesser known lake areas like Molveno and Lago di Tovel, as well as some super popular lakes like Lago di Sorapis. Here are some of the featured Italian lakes: 📍Lago di Molveno 📍Lago di Tovel 📍Laghi effimeri 📍Lago di Sorapis 📍Lago di Garda 📌 save this for your summer lake adventures #northernitaly🇮🇹 #northernitaly #dolomiti #dolomite #dolomites #italylake #lagodigarda #lagodimolveno #lagoditovel #lagodisorapis

Welcome to how we ended up in Kyrgyzstan! 🇰🇬 As we sat in Oaxaca, Mexico in March planning out our next few months of travel, I stumbled upon a beautiful photo from Kyrgyzstan. Admittedly I didn’t know much about the place, but that one photo led to a whole lot more photos as I scrolled for hours through Instagram and Google. Even though we planned to be in Europe, I threw the idea of visiting out there just to see if we could make it work. Well after a quick search we realized that it was only $300 more to fly to Kyrgyzstan “on the way” from Sicily to Salzburg. And so we did just that.. for 16 fantastic days! And the country lived up to and exceeded my expectations in every way! Have you ever planned a trip based on something you saw on the internet? ⬇️ #kyrgyzstan #kyrgyzstan🇰🇬 #visitkyrgyzstan #visitcentralasia #centralasia #tripplanning #travelplanning

Beautiful places to visit in Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 My top spots across the country (from west to east) 👉 💧Song Kul Lake - one of the most popular places in Kyrgyzstan — a beautiful high alpine lake surrounded by family-run yurt camps. 🏔️Kel Suu Lake - stunning high alpine lake, accessible by foot or horse. 4x4 car and border permit necessary to reach the town. 🏢 Naryn - small city with access to Tash Rabat, Kel Suu Lake, Song Kul Lake. 🛖Tash Rabat - a remote mountain village, home to make nomad yurt camps. Access to the Chatyr Kol lake hike starts here. 🪐 Mars Canyon - the much less popular alternative to Fairytale Canyon. An awesome area to camp in near the lake. 🐉 Fairytale Canyon - a popular hiking area with iconic red rock mountains with a view of the lake. 💧Issyk Kul Lake - a massive lake in eastern Kyrgyzstan surrounded by many small towns, popular in the summer months 🌿Jrygalan - a small mountain town 1 hour from Karakol. Beautiful hiking trails including a number of alpine lakes. 🏢 Karakol - a small city just east of Issyk Kul Lake. A great base surrounded by striking mountain peaks on all sides. #kyrgyzstan #kyrgyz #kyrgyzstan🇰🇬 #visitkyrgyzstan
