Can we please talk about #MyTwoBabies? Yes, let's. Babysense has me SO SET UP with two amazing monitors. I have the NEW! HD Split Screen Video Baby Monitor, HD S2, which allows me to see two kids at once. So I have one set up in Rider's room, and since the new baby will be in our bedroom for the first six months and then in a nursery on another floor from Rider, I'll be able to see both babies at once! I really hope they'll nap at the same time..😴 #ad You can also talk into the microphone to talk to the babies and you can switch from the different cameras for full view, or use the split screen to see both at once. You can also move them around the room with the display. I'm impressed by how clear and sharp the picture is, and how you can also mount the cameras into the wall, if you want to do so. There is day/night vision, as well as built-in lullabies with white noise. I also have the Babysense 7 Safe Sleep Baby Monitor. It has under-the-mattress, highly sensitive sensors that cover the whole sleeping area. This is the #1 rated movement monitor. I can use it in tandem with the video monitor, as they are not the same thing, but both are important. It has incredible benefits, like being non-contact, and with alarms and alerts that will tell you if your baby’s movements slow down irregularly, or stop. It will give us peace of mind when the new baby arrives in April. I wasn’t going to participate because I only vaguely noticed the #10yearchallenge on Facebook and had no idea what was going on, but finally couldn’t resist: Well, well, well. I find myself here again. Unborn Baby Des (left) and Unborn Baby #4 (right).

It’s Frozen Hot Chocolate season! I admit that I had no idea what this actually was until this recipe. Before Covid, Cassidy used to take Scarlet to New York City around the holidays and they would get frozen hot chocolate at #Serendipity3 - so cheers to the memories! And hope for future trips. Frozen Hot Chocolate Recipe: What You Need: 2 cups of milk 2 tablespoons of Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup Ice 2 tablespoons of sugar 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder Mini marshmallows, chocolate fudge, almonds (for toppings/optional) What You Do: 1 – Start by bringing your milk to a boil 2 – Then, add in your syrup, sugar, and cocoa, and then stir well 3 – Bring your hot chocolate down to a simmer and allow to simmer until foamy 4 – Then, remove from heat and let cool COMPLETELY before the next step 5 – Place cooled beverage in a blender and fill the rest of the way with ice 6 – Blend on high for about 2 minutes 7 – Add desired toppings and then serve and enjoy!

And here's the #recipe: Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 3/4 cup light or dark brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp salt 3 cups Bob's Red Mill quick or old-fashioned oats (For the cream filling) 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, softened 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 Tbsp half and half Instructions: 1 - Preheat oven to 350° F, and line cookie sheets with parchment paper 2 - With a mixer, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy, and then add in eggs and vanilla 3 - Then in a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon, and slowly add this mixture to the wet ingredients 4 - Mix until just combined, and then add in oats and mix until combined 5 - Use a cookie scoop (3 Tbsp or so) to make large cookies and bake for 13-15 minutes 6 - While letting them cool, beat the butter for the cream filling for five minutes, and then turn your speed down to low, to slowly add the confectioners' sugar 7 - Mix until fully combined and then add in vanilla extract and half and half 8 - Turn your mixer back up to a medium - high speed and keep beating for 4 more minutes 9 - Place buttercream in a piping bag and pipe your middles!

This has been such a weird week, so we’re doing Unicorn Sundaes this weekend, oh yes we are! 🦄 Unicorn Sundaes Ingredients: 1 Half Gallon Vanilla Ice Cream Food Coloring—Pink, Purple, Turquoise Fruit Flavored Fruit Chews Candy Toppings and Sprinkles Directions: 1 – Divide the ice cream into 3 bowls and mix in each color. 2 – Layer the ice cream into a loaf pan one color at a time. Place the pan in the freezer for 1-2 hours until ice cream is hard again. 3 – Unwrap a fruit chew and place in microwave for 3 seconds. 4 – Roll the fruit chew into a ball and then pull and twist until it looks like a unicorn horn. Repeat this step with the other fruit chews. 5 – Take the ice cream out and scoop it into 4 sundae bowls. Make sure to get all the colors in each scoop. (start at one end and scoop until you reach the other end, as this will give you all 3 colors with a perfect scoop). 6 – Sprinkle different candy and sprinkles on each sundae and put the unicorn horn on top of each one. 7 – Enjoy!

Since you liked my oatmeal bowl yesterday, here’s another favorite breakfast to share. I did this for a blog post so I didn’t just whip this up to look this beautiful today, but you can! It’s not #vegan but it can be tweaked. Blueberry Muffin Smoothie Bowl: What You Need: 1 frozen ripe banana 1 cup frozen blueberries 1/2 cup milk 1 (5.3 ounce) container vanilla Greek yogurt (or about 1/2 cup) -frozen 1/4 cup steel cut oats 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Toppings Fresh blueberries Granola Fresh whole strawberry Pecans Sliced almonds Kiwi Slices What You Do: 1 – First, combine all ingredients in a large blender or food processor. 2 – Next, blend/process until smooth. 3 – Then, pour into bowl, and top with toppings. 4 – Lastly, serve cold, immediately because it’s best that way! Pro Tip: To make the smoothie bowl thick – more like soft serve ice cream consistency and easier to eat with a spoon – be sure to freeze the yogurt as well. And if you’re looking for more toppings for your smoothie bowl, include coconut flakes, chia seeds, dried fruit, or other fresh fruits like cherries or banana. *Makes 1 large smoothie bowl, or 2 small
