I’ll share my experience with The Panic Room Clue Kingdom: The Enchanted Forest. I found the game very refreshing; as compared to so many other online escape rooms, you aren’t dealing with a spine-tingling theme of a serial killer. I hate the horror genre and would love to see more escape rooms instead of using a magical fantasy theme. While some elements felt slightly repetitive, the happy and beautiful world you explore in the game is what I crave in online escape rooms.
Did Santa eat all your cookies? If you are craving some more sugary treats but don't want to deal with baking, @kashscookies has you covered. This new local business delivers 6 cookies for $10 or 12 for $20. Flavour options include chocolate chunk, triple chocolate chunk, m&m, milk/white chocolate chunk and s'mores. For the full review check out my blog (link in profile). Even if you aren't ready to order, you can support this local company by giving them a follow on Instagram. Let me know are you on team soft cookies or do you prefer them rather crispy. I'm on team soft and tasting fresh out of the oven, how about you?🍪
After testing out virtual escape rooms for the past months, I’ve gathered up the best online escape games to try with your friends. There is something for everyone below, from beginner-friendly games, some perfect for small groups of two, to captivating puzzles and storytelling that beat many in-person escape rooms. If you’ve never tried an online escape game, The BRUCE Project is perfect for beginners as it is easy to navigate. It has top-notch puzzles and story-telling that makes it one of the best online escape games I’ve ever played.
Christmas Scene Investigation online escape room is an affordable way to have some virtual festive fun with your friends. The Panic Room recommends the game to be played with a team of up to 6 people/households (but ultimately, there is no limit on how big your team can be). Next, you’ll need a way for everyone to talk, so programs like Discord or Zoom work well. The £15 (approximately CAD 26) per team fee makes it a cheap way to get in the holiday spirit.
Stop and smell the roses. 🌹 After taking a quick break from social media, I'm back and excited to get back to promoting local business. For those of you planning ahead to Valentine's Day, or looking for a stunning (but affordable) gift I got you covered. @bash.blooms.and.chocolates sells stunning gift boxes with a mix of fresh flowers and chocolates. Prices start at $25 for a small, and go up to $45 for a large and include free delivery in Ottawa. I adore my gifted arrangement as the sweet-smelling roses mixed with the fresh scent of eucalyptus is so relaxing.🤗 Make sure to spread the love and follow this fantastic company to show your support. Orders can be placed by sending them a dm. Do you have a favourite flower? Mine are roses and peonies. 😍
My two favourites couldn’t be more different; The Bruce Project was a game filled with puns and robots, the other (CodeBreakers: Hunting A Killer) a chilling serial killer game that is highly immersive. Despite being Canadian, I’m not too fond of the cold, so I was thrilled to celebrate the holidays this year while practicing social distancing at three different events. On The Lake For a fun girls’ weekend getaway, I went on a road trip to Ontario’s famous wine region – Niagara On The Lake. So I was eager to repeat the experience, but this time soar over the picturesque 1000 Islands with 1000 Island Helicopter Tours.
I just went flying over Ottawa with Santa Claus, and there was no sleigh or reindeer in sight. 🎅 If you want to try this unforgettable experience, you can book a private flight with up to 2 friends with @ottawabiplane . It will run every weekend in December. It Is just $38 a person for a 10-15 minute flight over the Ottawa Parliament Buildings, and the proceeds go towards a local charity.
