I enjoy wearing dresses and appreciate not feeling the need to control my husband. In today's culture, there's a strong pressure for women to take the lead in relationships. While it might seem progressive to always have the final say, this approach doesn't align with biblical principles of masculinity. However, swinging to the opposite extreme isn't the solution either. It's easy to fall into the habit of bossing around or belittling men's preferences, which can lead to disrespecting the person we're supposed to love. How can we combat this? - By remembering that God is ultimately in control. - By acknowledging and repenting of any manipulative or prideful behavior. - By constantly reflecting on our role as wives: to be supportive helpers. - By understanding that not dominating brings more peace, honor, and order to marriage and the home. There's a significant difference between domination and offering advice, encouragement, or support. God calls us to be submissive to His will, responding with gentleness and wisdom towards our partners, with whom we are united. Every day, I pray for the strength to fight against my pride, knowing that this battle is ongoing. April 21-27 It's infertility week. Although I don't suffer from infertility, I still haven't been able to carry to term since having Aiden Marshall in 2017. It makes me incredibly sad and I have so many mixed emotions on having more babies in heaven than here on earth. I don't know what Yah's plan is for me, but I remain faithful and patient walking in obedience to him. If it wasn't for him saving me from the pit I don't know if I would be here today. I don't want pity, I don't need people to feel sorry for me. I just need prayer, whether God will bless us with another child is all in his hands. I'm prioritizing my health now since I have neglected it for years and that very well could have been the reasons I keep losing.
