Our big goal of the year is to clean up our impossibly messy basement...you can barely walk down here because there’s stuff EVERYWHERE. The plan is to sort through everything, declutter the vast majority of it and organize what’s left. With two little kids and two full time jobs, it feels nearly impossible to find time for a huge project like this but we’re determined to tackle it a little bit at a time throughout the year. ⭐️Follow along for real life decluttering motivation and tips because I have a LOT of work to do down here!

Spent the holiday weekend testing out my new wet dry vacuum like the total nerd I am.😆 Super happy with my choice so far! You know the feeling! This is bit of a lie though, I actually use the delay start on my dishwasher 90% of the time so it runs while we’re sleeping. But if I actually get it unloaded right away the next morning, I really do feel like I deserve a gold star.🏆

I was so tempted to order pizza or run through the drive through on my way home from work, but our family saved about $45 by eating at home instead of paying for pizza delivery. Having extra simple backup meals that you can prep in a pinch is such an important part of meal planning. Choose a couple of meals your family likes that are easy to make and use common ingredients you can always have on hand. That way when something comes up, it’s easy to resort to a backup meal instead of last minute pizza delivery.
