💙 𝑰 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒅𝒂𝒚. Getting dressed up and putting on makeup for pictures with my darling rainbow baby. I’d just been through some of the saddest days of my life. I’d had a miscarriage, immediately gotten pregnant again, been terrified the entire pregnancy, and had a near death experience which resulted in premature birth (all while fostering teenagers). That’s when I discovered many of my friendships were superficial, and the people that I would have expected to call/visit/check-in disappeared. 𝘚𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘱. It was a also a time that sent me down a different path in life that led me to value authenticity even if it didn’t make a bit of sense to anyone else. I quit my “normal” job to create more freedom, made choices that felt right to me, focused on MY health, and learned to let go of expectations. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲? Growth always comes from letting go and never from holding on. Starting over with a new vision in life and building a genuine tribe can be such a rewarding experience. I am unbelievably grateful for the beautiful people and moments that came after this picture. That incredibly difficult time led me to the 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘦𝘴𝘵 place.
