This golf hole just always begs for a photo. My home course, and it just always looks so beautiful. The risk-reward, short par 4 guarded by water is a Tillinghast special. Plenty of room left for a miss, but right or short and you’re finding trouble.

Better late than never… and a course that’s one of the best you may have never heard of. @lawsoniagolf Links course is ranked #23 in the Top 100 in the US by @golf_com, #58 by @golfdigest, and Golf Magazine says, “Possibly the most underrated course in America and its greatest golfing value.” . It doesn’t disappoint. Most love it, some hate it, but those that don’t love it probably don’t appreciate challenging classic design and golf architecture. William Langford and Theodore Moreau designed this course along the shores of Green Lake in Wisconsin. Revitalized and restored over the years, this course teases players with abnormally large features, odd sight lines, undulating greens, and even features a beautiful par 3, their 7th hole, “Box Car” which actually has an old box car buried beneath to provide the volcano-like green formation that requires a precise iron to hold the table top green.

I got a chance to play the recently renovated @theglengolfpark in Madison, Wisconsin this evening. What is the old Glenway Golf Course, had some local members of the golf community reimagine this muni and give it a refresh. I played a few junior tournaments way back in the day. As a shorter executive length course, it was one of the earlier courses I cut my teeth at. What a special course and also designed for more public park use than just a golf course certain days of the week. It may not be the fanciest, but it is a special slice of golf for the Madison area. . Pro tip: stop by the Village Bar across the street for a classic Wisconsin bar featuring burgers and cold beers.

A little bit of a delay of game here from my round last week at @spanishpeaksmountainclub. A trying course that is a bit more forgiving than Moonlight Basin, but this Tom Weiskopf meanders through the base area of @bigskyresort near the new @montagebigsky. A beautiful mountain course that at times feels like your only spectators are wandering bears. Flip through the image and find the special addition to the cart 😊 🐻 . Quite a layout with some beautiful panoramic views and undulating greens to challenge the flatstick, even when you are on in regulation.

It is tough to say which is better at The Reserve at @moonlightbasin, the golf or the views. Set into the tumbling wilderness at the base of Big Sky Resort, this @jacknicklaus design twists and tumbles up and down the mountainside, past creeks, ponds, and through the forest. Sitting at 7500 feet, and tipping out at 8,000 yards, it also features one of the longest holes of golf, the 777 yard, par 5 17th. Such a special treat, and a very fair challenge of golf. . No wonder it was where @philmickelson @tombrady @aaronrodgers12 and @brysondechambeau battled it out for The Match.

Not a bad night to catch @ryanbinghamofficial live at @theoldsaloon in Emigrant, Montana.

We were so close, yet so far from the win. Top 3 at @americandunes wasn’t too shabby of a finish, and such a great course to play! Thanks for an amazing event @amgolftrips

First couple days at @forestdunes had some up and downs, including the loop by @doakgolf. It was fun, interesting, but lacked character. Really looking forward to the main Forest Dunes course in the morning for the final round of an epic tournament weekend with @amgolftrips. The Bootlegger short course and the putting course have been the stars so far. Even the pics don’t fully capture it. Also big kudos to our caddy Tanner today!

Two incredible days at @americandunes in Michigan. In partnership with @foldsofhonor and @jacknicklaus, this truly is one of the most unique and incredible golf experiences in America. The course is incredible and pristine, and the heart wrenching stories of American fallen soldiers makes this a special memorial to some of America’s fighter pilots and soldiers. . Barely missed a top finish today at the @amgolftrips, but the day couldn’t have been better.

Beautiful evening round in Big Sky Country. Next stop: Michigan. . Gearing up for a few days of tournaments at @americandunes and @forestdunes. Time to go low.

Not golf, but still a beautiful day on the river. Did a nice Saturday loop via Ennis on the Upper Madison through Yellowstone NP and down the Gallatin. I think I am a better golfer than fly fisherman these days.

Long drives and big skies. Bozeman, MT.

Action packed weekend of golf, horseback riding, hiking, and capped off with a 4th of July fireworks display across the Bridgers.

Got out to one of Montana’s best public courses, Old Works, which is a Jack Nicklaus signature course in Anaconda, MT. Aside from the amazing landscape, the unique black sand “slag” bunkers make it a very unique course. Gotta love the elk and bear on the range as well as the 3-hole warm up course. Ended up shooting 3 over from the Golds (~7200 yds) and had incredible weather.
