You all asked for this recipe so here it is! A gluten free, dairy free, artificial colo funfetti smash cake!🌈🎂 My nephews 1 year birthday is coming up this month, so a few weeks ago I tested some recipes for the big day. This one came out even better than expected so I knew I would have to share! It’s tough to find recipes that are not only gluten free, but free of dairy and artificial flavors and dyes? Almost impossible! I won’t go into detail, because I think we are bombarded with enough bad news every day😵‍💫But if you want to find out why artificial dyes are not good for our health, I urge you to do a quick google search! I just want to provide you with healthy alternatives so you and your family can enjoy without worry! Here is the recipe I used for this funfetti smash cake: -2¼ cups 1-1 gluten free flour (I like @bobsredmill , @cup4cup , @kingarthurbaking ) -1 cup sugar (pure cane sugar or coconut sugar) -2 tsp of baking powder -1 tsp salt -3 eggs -1/2 cup avocado oil -1¼ cups almond milk or dairy free milk of your choice (my favorites are @malkorganics and @califiafarms organic) -1 tsp vanilla extract -1/2 tsp almond extract -About 1 cup of sprinkles (use more or less depending on your color level!) - @missjonesbakes or @simplemills vanilla frosting *note I found out that dye free sprinkles lose their color with high heat, I will experiment with some other brands in my next round but right now some of my favorite dye free sprinkle brands are @gosupernatural and @colorkitchenfoods . @danishealthyeats recommended the @krogerco brand ones, which is what I will be trying next! Instructions: 1. Spray three 5 inch round cake pans 2. Preheat oven to 350F 3. Combine dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately, then combine. Add sprinkles last 4. Fill pans with batter 5. Baking time may vary. Mine took a little longer than expected, around 28 minutes. I would say set a timer for 20 minutes and check every few minutes 6. Allow cake to cool, spread the icing between each layer then cover completely. 7. Add your dye-free sprinkles and ENJOY!

It’s getting hot, so I made a healthy, gluten-free treat for you to cool off with— Berry Crumble Frozen Yogurt Bark! This recipe was super simple and only required a few ingredients. The star of the show is @naturesbakery #glutenfreefigbar #sponsored #ad May is Celiac Awareness Month and I love highlighting some of my favorite gluten-free products. These fig bars are made with flaxseeds and whole grains, all certified gluten-free, for a nourishing snack that won’t slow you down. Along with being gluten free, they are also dairy-free, nut-free, and non-GMO. They are the perfect on-the-go snack or topping for your yogurt, smoothie bowl, or yogurt bark (see my recipe below!) Here is what you need for your Berry Crumble Frozen Yogurt Bark: - 24oz dairy free yogurt (this one is coconut yogurt) - 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (because why not add more protein to our snacks?) - berries - @naturesbakery gluten-free fig bars. I used blueberry in this one! All their flavors are delicious! 1. Spread out a piece of parchment paper on your cookie sheet. 2. Mix protein powder and coconut yogurt and spread evenly on the parchment paper. 3. Crumble your fig bar and spread all over the coconut yogurt. Add your berries now too! 4. Freeze for at least 1 hour (preferably 2). 5. Take out of freezer and break up your yogurt bark. 6. Store remaining bark in an airtight container and enjoy! #glutenfree #dairyfree #glutenfreerecipes #healthydesserts #yogurtbark

3 Ingredient Gluten Free Oreo Truffles

It’s always an exciting day in the gluten free community when a new product comes out as a gluten free version. And while there are other companies that make gluten free Oreo-like cookies and they are pretty delicious, there’s something about the fact that it’s an actual Oreo that makes it even more special. However, there’s so many great dairy free cream cheese brands out there now With Valentine’s Day just right around the corner, swap out the rainbow sprinkles for red, pink, and white and you have a homemade treat for your special Valentine(s).

Gluten Free Pumpkin Donuts

Gluten free pumpkin donuts sounded like the perfect recipe to start off the pumpkin season! I got my hands on Pamela’s Pancake & Baking Mix, initially to whip up some fluffy pancakes, but since I was in the baking mood, I decided to try it out in my gluten free pumpkin donut recipe. The mix is made up off the perfect blend of gluten free flours, cultured buttermilk, grainless and aluminum free baking powder (yay!), and baking soda. Since the mix contains both baking soda and baking powder, my recipe only required a small addition of baking soda to give the donuts a little extra fluff!
