Review: The Wayb Pico Travel Car Seat

The Pico comes with a carrying bag with backpack straps to make it even easier to travel with. The carrying bag is big enough that you won’t be struggling to get the car seat into the bag, like trying to get a kid fresh out of the bath into pajama pants. The car seat folds into a compact little cube for home storage or travel that is much smaller than other car seats that are impossibly bulky and never quite fit anywhere other than installed. The Wayb Pico is easy to adjust to fit your forward facing child (22-50 pounds and 30-45 inches) and so easy to install using the latch system or car or plane seat belt.

5 Tips for Traveling with a Toddler

I always bring cookies (and other healthier snack) in my backpack for the plane trip and I restock every morning as we leave the house while traveling. I don’t want to travel to another country just to park my toddler in front of cartoons all day, but Netflix comes in handy in those emergency missed-nap You can pin playground locations in Google Maps that will show up even on airplane mode and you won’t have to scramble to try and find a playground to burn off that toddler mania in a pinch. Try to build in playground time after big non-toddler attractions, like museums, or end the day with a playground visit.

Ice Castles With Kids

We skipped the luge-like side because there was a long line, Benton was too short to ride and couldn’t ride in my lap. We had to work through some tears at the top, but boy oh boy, that ice slide was awesome and Benton was ready to go again as soon as we flew off the bottom. The ground is covered with a few inches of a snowy ice chip mixture that feels like you’re walking in sand and your toes will thank you for wearing boots. We only drove through the local town on our way in and out but it looks like a perfect New England mountain town that would make a great winter weekend getaway.

Baby's 1st Trip: 4 Reasons Why It Should Be Europe!

A big part of that is that family support is institutionalized on a national level in Europe, from parental leave to subsidized child care to more than a single 6-week 15 minute postpartum check up for a mom that just gave birth to ANOTHER HUMAN. Airport Security – Lots of European airports have separate security lines for families traveling with small children or those who need extra assistance. In places that don’t have a dedicated family security lines, security will often pull you to the front if you are traveling with small children, especially if they are crying. I have experienced separate family security lines in Ireland, England, Iceland, and Germany, and I have been bumped in security lines in France, Belgium and Denmark.
