⭐️📚 BOOK REVIEW 📚⭐️ Red Rising by Pierce Brown I read this with my book club this month and I’m OBSESSED!! It’s a great sci-fi young adult read that sheds light on societal practices and their consequences. Main Character: When I tell you I am in LOVE with Darrow!! He really reminds me of my fiance. He’s determined, has a great work ethic and is so passionate. Half of my Kindle notes are about Darrow being an absolute ICON! Remarkable character growth too. MC points 5/5 Plot: So like there’s a plot twist in chapter 12 and it changes the entirety of the book. Absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to finish the series. 5/5 Themes: There’s a lot of detailing about caste systems, different types of societies and their respective successes and failures. It’s a little bit of a think piece while also having an entertaining storyline. You can read into it if you want but also just enjoy the story if that’s what you’re looking for. 5/5 Romance: if you’re looking for a romance this probably isn’t for you. While there are some side plots centered around romantic relationships, it’s definitely not the core of the book. 2/5 Total Points: 17/20 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Red Rising qualifies as a 5 star read for me.
