⬇️ A lot can change in a few years… In fact, what the internet may know me as now - a content creator, ‘that girl posting content on Korea’ - an identity that’s less than a few years old. I went from thinking that my career would be in law and geography, to believing my dream job would be in urban planning, and then neither of them at all. I went from feeling like I had no direction where I was going with my degree, to dropping out and then moving abroad to Korea to travel and learn more about myself. From navigating a different culture, self-teaching myself in photography and content creation and now working a social media & content creation job. If you’re reading this, It’s okay to feel lost - try something new, believe in yourself, and trust that the universe will lead you to exactly where you need to be. 📍 If you resonated with this I’d love to connect. Feel free to comment below and introduce yourself or let me know your journey! 🥺 ✨ Curious about me? Check out my ‘About Me’ page on my website to find out how I started my content creation journey. … travel bloggers, content creation, life abroad, living abroad in South Korea, travel content creator tips #livingabroad #aboutme #lifeabroad #livinginkorea #lifeinseoul #southkorea #contentcreatortips #travelblogger #femalebloggers #seoullife #서우여행 #solofemaletraveler #inspirationalquotes #shewanders #2023recap #sheexplores #traveldiary #travelgirlsgo

I can’t believe it’s nearly December already. Where did 2023 go? As I reflect on these past years I realise how fast time has gone by and how much I’ve changed. From all the places I’ve been able to visit, navigating the ups and downs of life abroad, teaching myself in areas of photography and content creation (with major imposter syndrome), connecting with people all around the globe and saying some hard goodbyes to loved ones. In the spirit of change, here are some of my favourite photos from Korea throughout the seasons. 🍃☀️🌸❄️ ➀ autumn floral blooms in #gyeongju ➝ 경북 경주시 인왕동 839-1 ➁ underrated summer views of Namsan Tower in #seoulkorea ➝ 서울특별시 중구 퇴계로34길 28 ➂ whimsical flower fields on #ganghwado ➝ 인천 강화군 화도면 흥왕리 355-21 ➃ cotton candy skies at Pohang ➝ 경상북도 포항시 북구 해안로 95 ⑤ Braving out the cold weather at Yeongheunggung Palace ➝ 인천광역시 강화군 강화읍 동문안길21번길 16-1 💬 What are you thankful for this year?  🏷️SAVE & SHARE if you find these tips helpful AND ↴ 📌 Follow for weekly travel inspiration & tips at @kelly.today  🗺️ FREE Korea travel guide linked in BIO @kelly.today. 🏷️ #southkorea #travelinspo #koreastreet #exploreseoul #bucketlist #travelblogger #koreatrip #explorekorea #seoultrip #seoultravel #travelguide, seoul travel guide, things to do in seoul, seoul travel itinerary, day trips from seoul,

⬇️ Underrated place to visit in South Korea 📌 Read the FULL FREE blog post ‘best day trips in South Korea’ on my WEBSITE > 🔗 Link in my bio. If you’re looking to explore Korea without the crowds take a day trip from Seoul to Gyeongju. Known as the ‘Museum without Walls’ this city was the former capital of the Silla Kingdom & has a range of cultural & archaeological sites to explore. 🚄How to get to Gyeongju? Easiest way to get to Gyeongju from Seoul is by using a KTX train for about 2 hours. You can book train tickets online advance.  🗓️How long should you visit Gyeongju? Gyeongju can be done as a day trip from Seoul however I recommend staying at least one day to enjoy all the cultural sites. 📍Places to see in Gyeongju ➀ Daereungwon Tomb Complex (대릉원 일원) - explore the largest ancient tombs of the kings and nobles of the Villa Kingdom. ➁  Cheomseongdae (경주 첨성대) - Asia’s oldest surviving astronomical observatory in Asia. ➂ Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond (경주 동궁과 월지) - explore the secondary palace used by the crown prince of Silla Kingdom. ➃ Yangdong Folk Village (양동마을 )- visit Korea’s largest traditional village that shows the traditional culture of the Joseon dynasty.  SAVE & SHARE if you find these tips helpful AND ↴ 📌 Follow for weekly travel inspiration & tips at @kelly.today  Gyeongju travel guide, gyeongju travel itinerary, travel inspiration, travel bucket list. It was only a few years ago, I was very bothered by people staring and I used to play all sort of scenarios in my head in terms of what they’re thinking or saying about me. Now, I’m learning to care less. Yes, people staring still occasionally bother me. But ultimately, we are all trying to live our best life and if people are going to judge you for living your best life, then so be it. Instead focus on what makes you happy. Find and connect with people that have similar mindset to you. It’s the best kind of feeling when you can connect with people that support or even share similar interests to you. With this mindset, here are some of my favourite photos from Melbourne. ➀ having way too much fun at @acmionline ➁ immaculate art and aesthetics at @thelumemelbourne ➂ “how about you roll down the hill?” “Don’t tempt me” ➃ One of the most gorgeous libraries I’ve ever been to @library_vic - Also way better than the famous Starfield Library in Seoul. 💬 What’s something you’ve done to push yourself out of your comfort zone? 📌 Don’t miss out on my recent blog post on taking photos of yourself as a solo traveller! Helpful tips for cafe hopping in Korea & a few of my favourite colourful photos ☕️🌈 ➀ Ordering Etiquette > Usually you order first at the counter and they’ll give you a receipt or buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. ➝ In some cafes they may ask you to find a seat first before serving you so they can manage the crowds at the cafe. ➝ Just put your belongings down once you’ve found a seat! (They’ll be safe I promise). ➁ Expect long waiting lines for popular cafes. Koreans love waiting for things. From photo spots, the best restaurants, cafes, rides and more. One brunch place I waited for in Seoul took over an hour to get inside. To avoid long lines avoid peak hours such as around lunch time. ➂ Most independent cafes have late opening hours ~ usually from 10:00am. If you want to grab an early bite to eat or drink I recommend recommending the chain franchises like Paris Baguette otherwise convenience stores are a great alternative (7/11, GS25, CU). ➃ Always check the opening hours on Kakao Map or Naver Map of the cafe. Especially if you’re visiting around national holidays. ➄ Not all cafes will have English menus especially if you’re visiting an area that isn’t ‘touristy.’ Papago is your best friend for translation. 📍locations ➀ cafe layered (카페 레이어드) ➁ Gyeongju-si (경주 첨성대) ➂ Ganghwa Island (강화도) ➃ Suwon Hwaseong Fortress (수원 화성) 🔖 SAVE & SHARE if you find these tips helpful AND ↴ 📌Get my FREE Korea travel guide [Linked in bio @kelly.today]. It started out as a favour and turned out into a spontaneous trip. ↴ A few months back a friend asked me to get her tickets for a concert. Obviously being the awesome🫡 friend I am I ended up overdelivering - from getting her a ticket, joining her for the concert (wasn’t planned) and then helping plan a packed trip exploring a new city in my home country!  This short visit to Australia was filled with fun day trips, running around the city discovering all the best artsy spots, gardens, views and most importantly trying out all the BEST food!  [Here are a few highlights from my trip! ] 🍃exploring one of the many gardens in Melbourne  ✨ immaculate aesthetics at the Royal Arcade 🎨 my inner child energy coming out at @acmionline   🎶 Finally getting to see one of my favourite KPOP groups!  🚁 My friend bullied me into a helicopter ride [jokes.. it didn’t take a lot of convincing]  🫠 aftermath of running around the city for consecutive days  📸 one of my FAVOURITE photos from the trip 💬 What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve done this year?  📌 UPDATE: I’ve started an IG broadcast sharing behind-the-scenes and tips! Didn’t expect that to happen…. Would you try this ride in South Korea? 📍Disco pang pang ride in South Korea Disco Pang Pang is a large circular ride that spins and bounces up and down. You sit with no seatbelts and basically just hold onto the railing. It’s quite popular on social media so I decided to give it a go. [Honest thoughts] After experiencing it firsthand I personally didn’t enjoy it. For the whole ride I was seriously just trying to hold on cause the ride operator was determined to shake people off. I think I’ll stick to rollercoasters going forward… 📍 Wolmido Theme Park in Incheon (월미테마파크) 🚆 How to get here? Easily accessible by the public transport (subway & bus) from Seoul to Incheon.
