📖🧋 reader girlies 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 warm weather 🍓🎀🌼 it’s 85° and the kids were acting up this morning, so i took them outside for a bit and called it quits for the day 😂 evangeline was crying basically all day long, so now that she’s napping i am going to sit in our new reading chair while the big girls watch tv so i can read in peace 😆 i hope. also shoutout to my hubby for buying me a book for our 11 year dating anniversary yesterday, i laughed at his pick because it’s about a husband whos mistress was murdered and he’s the prime suspect and his wife whom he cheated on, is his lawyer. quite an outlandish book for an anniversary present but i am here for it 😂 im on page 60 so far and honestly the writing isn’t that great but the story is really fast paced and fun, which is kind of what i need because i’ve been in a reading slump lately and i needed something that takes 0 brain cells to read, and this is that. im just along for the ride! also i know ive been talking about starting my booktube channel, which i still plan to, but it was my youngest daughter birthday, then my family visited this past week, then it was my oldest daughters birthday and then i got sick soooo yeah 😅 the video is in the editing process so it should be up this weekend! it’s taken longer than i hoped to get the first video up but we are almost there 😆 #bookishgirl #cozyreads #booksta #currentread

first two: me at the start of the week 💓😊✨🪩🍦😎 last two: me mid week 😰😶‍🌫️🫠😶😭 i’ve been struggling lately with trying to ‘niche down’ my content (which is a term widely known amongst the content creator industry to mean picking only one thing to post about so that you have the best chance at growth and good engagement) but that’s been causing me to feel stuck creatively. i like too many things! i love reading books. i love Jesus. i love working out. i love eating healthy. i’m trying to become a runner and learn chess and how to surf. i want to share fun finds but are pinched on cash right now and am on a strict budget and can’t afford it. i want to start homeschooling the girls, i want to finish painting the house but i can’t afford big renovations or decor to decorate so i don’t feel like i can share it. the internet is hypocritical when it comes to what’s consumed. everyone says they want relatable realistic content but the staged and exaggerated homes/lives are the ones people follow and engage with most because people like to live vicariously through others when it comes to hauls and dream homes and wishlists. But God put on my heart to glorify him through sharing anyways because even if one person see’s my post and remembers that the house and life they have is actually normal and they don’t need to strive for material things or put themselves in debt or make poor finacial decisions in the name of being trendy, that being a mom is actually full of twists and turns and ups and down and that God will be with them through it all, then that’s better than hundreds seeing something surface level and empty and liking it. Excited for this awakening and where it will take my page!
