In Black, Caribbean, and South Asian cultures, gender roles can be... let’s say, ‘traditional’. 🤷🏽‍♀️ But what if we mixed it up? Enter #FairPlay. It’s about tossing out those old ‘overly independent black woman’ or ‘docile Asian wife’ scripts or vice versa 🚫 Actually sometimes idk which one I’m “supposed” to be since my house is multicultural and I was def raised to be both submissive and the CEO😅😂😂 So I think it’s time we explore reshaping the narrative, dealing out chores, and responsibilities fairly so we can all thrive — not just survive. Oh how I really miss these days (circa 2019)! Basically when skinny eyebrows were in and I felt a little more free.
