We also discovered that Trip Advisor has Trimble Park ranked as number 4 of top things to do in Mount Dora. As we arrived to Trimble Park, we noticed it was RV friendly with a nice campground and group camping area. We drove back to the day use area where it had a wonderful playground, covered and uncovered picnic tables, boat dock, fishing dock and hiking trails. We followed the shoreline of Lake Beauclair all the way out to an area called “The Point. If you are ever in central Florida and in the area of Mount Dora, you need to visit Trimble Park.
Now we know more about what we want, need and do not want which made this years show a game changer. Originally we wanted a Class A, but now we are looking at a Travel Trailer to full-time in. Below are a few photos I took of the 2018 Keystone Outback 324CG travel trailer we found that meets every must have on our list and even has a couple wants from our list. With this one, I can have my dedicated office space with storage room for all my show gear and with a ramp right in to the space since this is a toy hauler.
Memorial Day Weekend along with the opening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Pandora. We stayed at the Tropical Palms RV Resort in Kissimmee which is just past Old Town USA. The higher priced campsites had pads, water, electric and sewer, but they were closer together and when you look out your window, you were looking in your neighbors. The next morning, we got up at 5 am so we could be at the Animal Kingdom entrance by 6 am for a park opening at 8 am.
I planned a trip for Mother’s Day weekend to Homosassa River RV Resort with my wife, mom and her dog Max. Once we arrived at the Homosassa River RV Resort, we were met by a very friendly staff. Our site also had full hook-ups (water, 30 and 50 amp service, sewer, free wi-fi and cable tv) and we even had a concrete pad on the side. We ended up replacing the 19″ stock TV with a 24″ Samsung Smart TV, adding Roku, a wireless network and several other small upgrades.
