I first saw the idea of using flax seeds to make wraps from @kateyyurko forever ago and recently wanted to try using the flax to make a soft taco of sorts! This is a fun recipe that you can use to make all kinds of gluten free wraps! Wrap recipe: 1 cup flaxseed (ground into flour) 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup boiling water ✨First, grind your flax seed until it is a fine powder. Then mix in your salt and spices! Pour boiling water over the flax seeds and stir. Once mixed thoroughly, roll out and cut out circles! Next, you’ll use a nonstick pan to cook them on low heat. 1-2 minutes per side! I filled mine with sautéed onions, zucchini, peppers, and chicken. 🍊Citrus is everywhere right now and I am loving using it in all of my mocktails for vitamin C and flavor! This recipe also uses ginger, oregano, and thyme for even more immune boosting and antibacterial/ anti microbial properties. Infusion: Handful thyme Handful oregano 2 inches ginger Leftover mandarin skin 2 cups water 1/4 cup honey or allulose * if using honey, add in after simmering other ingredients together for 30 minutes. It’s soup season and…I want a big bowl. I need a big bowl….Not me trying to show my personality in a cooking video. 😂 and yes, it was a bit hot. This recipe is perfect for the luteal and menstrual phase because it has ton of vitamin C from the red pepper! Vitamin C is helpful for making progesterone which is one of the female sex hormones that is important in the second half of our cycle to maintain the uterine lining if there is a pregnancy, pretty cool eh? A proper balance of progesterone also helps with PMS! Plus, warm and easy to digest foods are always great during this time! Recipe: 1 medium onion 3 cloves garlic (or more 😜) 2 red bell peppers 1/2 tsp salt 1 tbsp ghee 3 cups broth *sauté veggies in ghee and salt, then add in broth and let cook until soft. Use an immersion blender to blend. I like to add in a protein source to this for a complete meal. Shredded chicken or sausage are great.
