Liz & Chris { Charleston Engagement }

I always look forward to Charleston engagement portraits as the lush parks and waterfront views are second to none. The surrounding streets offer plenty of that iconic Charleston charm and White Point Gardens’ live oaks create a fairytale background for magical moments. I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with Liz and Chris as they celebrated their engagement and embrace the chilly winter day for their engagement portraits. Liz started with a cozy weather look with a pair of jeans and white sweater while Chris rocked an olive green pullover and jeans.

Avery { Old Wide Awake Bridal }

Last fall, I spent some time in Hollywood, SC for some lovely Old Wide Awake bridal portraits and I’m happy to share some of favorite photos with you today! Featuring oaks, manicured landscapes with a pond, and a stunning plantation house, Old Wide Awake Plantation is an amazing venue for Charleston bridal portraits. Her bridal gown’s cascading lace accents and billowing layers create a classic yet modern feel reminiscent of old Hollywood. I wanted to utilize the charming historic features of the Old Wide Awake house, but as always, I try to follow the light.

Lauren & Daniel { William Aiken Wedding }

Charleston’s historic homes make gorgeous wedding venues and the William Aiken House is no exception with its period architecture, gorgeous outdoor space, and southern feel. The couple explored the William Aiken grounds and surrounding area for some quick portraits. As Lauren made her way down the aisle, her mom wiped away some tears and Daniel looked on as he’s soon-to-be wife was almost by his side. The crowd was scattered throughout the house and grounds as the reception got into full swing, and we loved the hi-energy guests brought to the dance floor even on a hot summer day.

Katherine & Zach { McLeod Plantation Wedding }

With shady live oaks and a quiet atmosphere on the banks of the Ashley River, a McLeod Plantation wedding is one of splendor and endless southern charm. The outdoors created a deeply southern atmosphere for the guests gathered beneath the hanging Spanish moss. The family styled tables beneath cafe lighting created an enchanting atmosphere for the evening’s festivities. They danced and celebrated with their family and friends long into the night before setting out together in search of a new adventure.
