Leaving A Legacy To WWF

This beautiful blue planet with its astonishing wildlife faces serious threats and this means the organisation’s work is more important than ever. WWF could not do its important work without the support of the people who have chosen to leave it a legacy. Obviously, WWF is acutely aware that for many people, their family and loved ones come first, but the organisation hopes that after they have been provided for, people take the time to remember WWF. WWF will always respect the privacy of its donors, so if you have decided to remember WWF in your legacy and want to let them know, you can be sure WWF will keep all details shared with it confidential.

Check Out This Video Of Lions Trying To Take Down A Giraffe

Most solitary big cats like leopards may well be happy to hunt moderate sized prey, but lions which are a social species can be very ambitious when it comes to the type of species they take on. A group of tourists on a recent game drive in South Africa’s Klaserie Private Nature Reserve were lucky enough to witness a pride of lions trying to take down an old giraffe bull. The group members said they sat quietly in their vehicles as they watched the lions close in on the old giraffe bull. The most aggressive lion leapt onto the giraffe’s back which is about 3.5 metres of the ground and held on to dear life whilst the other members of the pride gripped on to the bull’s leg.

Elephant Calf In Trouble Rescued By Herd

The African elephant may well be the largest land mammals on Earth but for their babies who haven’t yet reached adulthood and their maximum weight, a riverbank that is steep or a slippery watering hole may pose a significant challenge. Mr Van Vuuren is an ex-game ranger and was on safari in South Africa’s MalaMala Game Reserve. Mr Van Vuuren anticipated the young calf would have problems scaling the bank so began filming the herd hoping he would be able to capture how the herd responded to the youngster who would have a hard time. Mr Van Vuuren says his group were thrilled to see they helped the little critter up and over the embankment.

Cute Elephant Calf Loves A Spot Of Football

If you need a fix of adorableness today, then check out this super cute video of an elephant calf playing with homemade football in South Africa’s Greater Kruger Park. Mr Royal says the group stopped to get a good look at the herd when a tiny elephant calf came bursting through the bush and onto the road following a football made from elephant dung. The baby elephant began to perform for the camera but soon finished his game with the ball after Mr Royal stopped filming, returning its attention to the rest of the herd. Mr Royal concludes as the group drove past the abandoned ball, the little fella came back bursting and trumpeting at the group, kicking sand up and having a throwing a jolly good tantrum until finally the group left the area and his toy all to himself.
