Children are born getting everything they want because we have to care for their every need. As time goes on we have to start teaching them that we as parents are not required to give them their every want and need. We are not obligated to do the things we do for them, like buying them a new toy, taking them to play parks etc, we do it out of love. So here are some little tips to help you start teaching your child how to be grateful for all the wonderful things they have in their life.
Before you decide how to respond to something first ask yourself, what is it that you want them to learn and improve, what is the goal? I know sometimes this can be hard especially if your kids are driving you bonkers, but try step away for a moment if you can.
One of my absolute favorite places to shop online is Superbalist. Here are the top items in my wishlist - Firstly, now that we're having load shedding again, I want some nice candle holders, I Love these babies - Gorgeous planters, my plants need proper pots, currently with a lot of them I just use the plastic ones from the nursery, its time for an upgrade! I'm just undecided if I should get a desk lamp OR a floor lamp! There is nothing better than beautiful textured fabrics, these cushions have such lovely textures, I just want to rub my hands on them!
Frankie, who is naturally deeply disappointed, refuses to accept that he might have made a few mistakes when building his sled yet also raises a few questions around the newcomer’s victory. Together with his friends, he manages to prove that Zac cheated during the race and he demands a rematch; which Zac accepts on condition that Frankie re-builds an entirely new race track. Once Zac realises what he’s up against, he raises the stakes by coercing Frankie into a bet too – which if lost, will affect Frankie’s entire team. This is a great family film that offers the younger viewers some great life lessons and older viewers humorous anecdotes of the hilarious dynamics associated with a team operating under pressure.
