Photography started off as a hobby, turned into a passion, and has now developed into a career. I am continually afforded amazing opportunities within this career and am blessed with the amazing friends and networks that have nurtured my growth along the way.
Born and raised as a Dallas city boy, I joined the Army in 2005. After seven years of service, decided to make the move from my duty station at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, to Colorado Springs, home of some family friends and an exercise science degree program I was interested in pursuing at the University of Colorado. It wasn’t long that I adopted my first pet, Ollie. Adventuring with him changed my outlook on life and changed my passions from exercise science to media.

While this mornings hike was a blast, the memories of my friend were on the forefront of my mind the whole way. A year ago today, January 8th 2022, my good friend Drake, his partner Hannah & their dog lost their lives in an avalanche on Hoosier pass. The news devastated me then and still isn’t easy to swallow that still today my good friend is no longer with us. The Blue Lakes hike we took today passes just under the ridge where you left us buddy… I drive by it countless times a year and never not thinking about the lives that should be living still today. His story is part of what inspired me to ensure I took the @pikespeakalpineschool AIARE 1 course to learn to be safe for myself and others. The backcountry is never not a dangerous place, especially when you add a human into Mother Nature, anything can happen.
