The irony of these lyrics while I’m being a housewife making home cooked meals every night because I like to and it’s fun 😂 But anyway, I got this recipe from my dietitian @onpoint.nutrition and modified it a bit to the ingredients that I like and the portions they come in at the store. Here’s what you’ll need: Cannellini beans, rinsed & drained 1 (15.5 ounce) can Chickpeas, rinsed & drained 1 (15.5 ounce) can Great northern beans, rinsed & drained 1 (15.5 ounce) can Vegetable broth 4 cups Olive oil 1 tablespoon Yellow onion, chopped 1 onion carrots, chopped (I get the petite carrots in the small bag) Celery stalks, chopped (I dice up a whole thing of celery) Salt 1 teaspoon Fresh cracked pepper 1 teaspoon Garlic powder 1 teaspoon Kale, chopped (I buy the 16 oz bag and just pull out the stems) Directions: 1. Combine the rinsed Cannellini beans and 1 cup broth in a blender. Blend until smooth and set aside. 2 Heat oil in a crock pot. Add onions, celery and carrots, stir. 3 Add garlic, salt, and pepper 4 Add remaining beans, stir to combine. 5 Stir in blended beans, rest of broth and kale. 6 cook on low for 6-8+ hours or until the kale and carrots are soft This made me 7 servings #healthyrecipes #crockpotrecipes #slowcookerrecipes #housewife #housewifematerial #lavenderhaze #beanandkalesoup #souprecipes #soups
I received a free sample of this new face mask and wanted to share how much nicer it is than pretty much every other face mask brand I’ve tried before. This mask comes split in two - an upper and a lower mask, so it’s easier to apply for different face shapes It also comes with a protective barrier so application is less messy. It’s a cream mask so it has a thicker consistency than the ones that are more like serums and gels. It also came with a serum toner, which you use after cleansing your face but before you put your face mask on. You can also use it as part of your regular skin care routine after cleansing and it combines the toner and the serum application into one step. Beef and Barley Soup recipe inspired by @onpoint.nutrition 8-16 oz Sirloin Steak, cut into bite sized pieces Sprinkle in some pepper 1-2 Tbsp Olive Oil 1 medium sized onion diced 8-12 oz carrots diced 1 celery stalk diced Small jar tomato paste 1 cup quick cooking barley 1 carton reduced sodium beef broth 1 cup water Sprinkle in some salt 1-2 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar Throw all these ingredients into the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8+ hours
As a blogger I get sample products for free. I was recently sent this new, clean toothpaste. 🪥 natural flavors and sweeteners 🪥 non-GMO / Gluten-free 🪥 no artificial preservatives, colors, dyes 🪥 no SLS/Triclosan 🪥 vegan-friendly 🪥 infused with botanicals 🪥 carton, tube, and cap are all recyclable ♻️ Personally, it seemed the same as any other toothpaste, so it’s just as good as name brands. My only other thing to add is that it is fluoride free and I know on my last visit to the dentist they specified that I should always be using toothpaste with fluoride. Sweet Potato Quinoa Chili Ingredients 4 servings (makes 6 for us) 1 large Sweet potato, diced (we use golden sweet potatoes) 1 Red onion, diced 1 Bell pepper, diced (we’ve used yellow and green before - use whichever kind you like) 3 Garlic cloves, minced (we omitted this) Black beans 1 12 ounce can Roasted tomatoes 1 28 ounce can Vegetable broth 3 cups (we used the full carton which is 4 cups) Quinoa, dry 1/2 cup Chili powder 1 tablespoon (we omitted this one) Cumin 2 teaspoons (we also omitted this one) Paprika 2 teaspoons (we also omitted this one) Cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon (we also omitted this one - use whichever seasonings you like to cook with) Directions: Dump all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on low for 6+ hours We got this recipe from my dietitian @onpoint.nutrition
Once again, another fun aspect of being a blogger is getting free samples of products to share with my audience. This one is a game changer! It’s essentially like a stick on hand warmer but for cramps. It actually kept its heat way longer than the recommended 8 hours. I think I wore it for 12 hours. If you really wanted to, anybody could use these to stick wherever they want to keep themselves warm this winter 😆 Though the packaging will tell you otherwise for legal reasons.
