Here’s what I am prepping for our daughter’s third grade homeschool supplies! We mostly use @thegoodandthebeautiful for our school but supplement with a few German lesson supplies as well to help her read German and speak more fluently. So excited! #homeschool #homeschoolmom
Today we had a bit of a girls day and explored the city of Truth or Concequences in New Mexico. Jennie had her first natural hot springs experience at the @riverbendhotsprings and we all had a fabulous time! Afterwards we decided to stop at the Geronimo Springs Museum and it truly is a hidden gem of you’re into local history that goes back thousands of years! It might sound funny or strange, but our camping trip we are on for our family vacation has taught me so much about homeschooling. Our kids have learned a ton by just being outside and able to explore a lot of new and cool places, they made up new games and took in information we didn’t even know they heard or saw. I’ve been reading @wildandfree.co The call of the wild and free and I love how encouraging and liberating this book is for a new homeschool mom like myself! We are about to start our second year of homeschool and I feel much more confident!

We spent a few hours exploring the @sanantoniozoo yesterday and had THE BEST time!!!! Everyone’s favorite was the kangaroo encounter! We’ll definitely be back many more times after our move here!
Our daughter (she’s 7) and I made a Black Forest cake yesterday with an authentic German recipe from @dirndl_kitchen. It is super yummy and was easy to follow! Making a super delicious meal for dinner has never been easier! The @thermomixusa TM6 is my most used and favorite kitchen appliance! I made this lemon rosemary chicken and rice in just under an hour and everything cooked at once! Minor cleaning and major flavor! #thermomix

I made bagels for the first time today, using @dirndl_kitchen ‘s recipe. My old kitchen scale seems to be a bit off and the dough was a bit sticky, but they still turned out good, just not shaped as perfectly as I wanted. But they smell and taste great!
