ORC: A Renter Friendly Parisian Bedroom REVEAL

We elevated Anastasia’s bed off the floor with an extra tall black metal bedframe eliminating the need for a boxspring (in turn saving a bit of money! ) The lamp is a vintage find from another local vintage shop called Bephi home. The vintage brass candle snuff was a salvation army find, and I think it’s the cutest! We gave it a fresh coat, swapped the knobs for pretty Anthropologie knobs, and coralled all her pretty perfumes and potions on display on a vintage tray.

Star-Crossed: The Editorial

I decided to split these two posts up with one focusing more on the “room transformation” and one that was really letting the editorial shine. It’s not often I combine a makeover with an editorial, so this was super special. I’d wanted to shoot something on film for a long time, so I gathered up a crew of girl bosses and we shot the reveal and the editorial in the same day. I’ll be participating in the April ORC as well, so stay tuned for that ;)!

MAKE MOVES: Reflecting on 2018 and 2019 Goals

One of the biggest things I did (which, I’ve never even blogged about! ? ? ) was launch my own vintage furniture shop, Make Moves Vintage. Here’s the story behind Make Moves, and what we stand for, in case you didn’t know! It’s been a labour of love and something I’ve been chipping away at designing this past year. And as the end of any year, I love to start to jot down some ideas for next year.

How I got Started in Interior Design Pt.2

For those of you who aren’t familiar with my home town, it’s called Walkerton. Someone could have an MBA’s worth of experience, but if they suck.. people won’t want to work with them. I accidentally started a weekly newsletter, that started out as one email to the team, highlighting some funny tweets, then turned into a weekly update with tweets, events, and news. I didn’t have restaurant experience, let alone marketing experience.
