what are some of your goals for 2023? 💚 hey all, wishing you a belated happy new year! One of my goals for the year is to make more notes about the media I’m consuming, which means a lot of in-depth time creating a Notion page for the year that is going to work better than previous years. I love taking notes, but it’s so difficult to remember when you don’t have a place set aside for that! I’ve spent the last year making Notion a hub where I keep track of so many things in my life, including my media journal where I rate all the movies and shows I watch in a year. 2023 makes year three and version three of the media journal and it’s so interesting to compare the ways they’ve grown side by side, especially compared to some of the other huge databases I’ve been built. Would you be interested in hearing more about my notion process or seeing some of my layouts? did you do anything fun this weekend? 🤍💖🖤 I binged the entirety of Andor over a couple of days and I cannot recommend that enough as a way to spend a few days. Diego Luna is absolutely incredible, and beyond that it’s one of the most well-written shows I’ve ever seen. There’s a burning rage under the surface of almost every scene, a demand for change because tyrannical control cannot be sustained. have you ever read a book that made you smile cover to cover? ☀️ here is a joyful little middle grade book I’ll never get over: To Night Owl From Dogfish by Holly Goldberg Sloan & Meg Wolitzer! let me start by just saying “gay parent trap” because I know that will already grab your attention 👀 this book follows two girls, Avery and Bett, who couldn’t be more different except for the fact that they’re both being raised by single, gay dads. when their dads fall for one another, the girls are sent to the same summer camp in hopes they’ll like one another. instead, via email, they promise to never become friends and make a plan to break up their dads. chaos ensues. also, To Night Owl is told entirely via emails between the two girls! if you like happiness distilled into book form, this is it.
