and that’s a wrap! 🎓 I’m so grateful to say I have graduated from the University of Illinois Springfield with a Bachelors in Communications with a concentration in Journalism/Media Studies with a minor in Visual Arts. During my time at UIS, I’m so thankful to have had all the many opportunities to have been involved in 12 immersive clubs/organizations while holding 15 various leadership positions, completing 3 internships and working 3 on-campus positions that I’m all very passionate about with the most amazing friends and colleagues. My time at UIS, during these past 4 years, has given me lifelong friends, unforgettable memories and experiences that I will always cherish. Thank you to all my friends, family for all your endless support and encouragement along the way. Here’s to the end of a wonderful journey. we are going! 🚀🙌🏽✨ I am still speechless from being able to experience live in person the Artemis 1 Rocket Launch to the Moon. I’m so grateful to have gotten this opportunity to witness this such historic moment in space travel along with so many amazing digital creators. Being able to watch, listen and feel this rocket launch was such a thrilling experience that I can’t even begin to put into words. Still haven’t fully taken in what we have just witnessed. So grateful to also have gotten the opportunity to meet with NASA Administrator Bill Nelson as well as talk with Astronauts Christina Koch and Doug Wheelock about the future Artemis missions. This past weekend at the NASA Social for Artemis 1 has been absolutely phenomenal. So grateful I had the opportunity to experience this and meet so many amazing digital creators who I now can call lifelong friends. Still haven’t taken in all of the once in a lifetime activities that we got to experience during these past couple days. Even though we didn’t get to experience the Artemis 1 rocket launch on its 1st attempt, this weekend by far was the experience of a lifetime! I’m SUPER excited to share that @nasa has invited me to cover the launch of the Artemis 1 Mission later this month at the Kennedy Space Center for the Artemis I NASA Social. 🚀✨ ~ I myself as well as a maximum of 100 other digital creators 📸 have been selected to attend this three-day event and will be given access similar to news media and will have the opportunity to: * Tour NASA facilities at The Kennedy Space Center * Meet and interact with subject matter experts * Meet & Connect with fellow social media influencers, content creators, and space enthusiasts * Meet members of the NASA social media team * View the LIVE launch of NASA’s Space Launch Systems Rocket and Orion Capsule on August 29th!! ~ The Artemis I is the launch of NASA's Space Launch System rocket carrying the Orion spacecraft from Space Launch Complex 39B at Kennedy Space Center in Florida Artemis I will be an uncrewed flight test to send Orion around the Moon and back to Earth over a six week mission to check out systems before crew fly aboard on Artemis II. Through Artemis missions, NASA will land the first woman and the first person of color on the Moon, paving the way for a long-term lunar presence and serving as a steppingstone to send astronauts to Mars. ~ I am so honored to have this type of opportunity and even more excited to share everything I get to see with all of you!!!
