FORT LAUDERDALE TRAVEL GUIDE

We stayed at Fort Lauderdale Marriott Beach Harbor Resort & Spa, which has everything you need for a relaxing stay. As well as having a good size gym with all Technogym equipment, the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Beach Harbor Resort & Spa also offers fitness and yoga classes to guests, just in case you need a little bit of extra motivation to workout while on holiday. Hard Rock Hotel – Walking through the Casino to get to dinner felt a little odd, but Kuro is tucked away in the hotel, so you don’t at all feel like you’re surrounded by the hustle and bustle. – I actually went here with a friend after the trip, but had to add it into the blog post as I can’t recommend it enough, especially if you’re vegan.

SO, WHY ARE YOU VEGAN?

It’s a question I get asked so much, but on numerous occasions I’ve felt that the person asking the question doesn’t really want to hear the answer. It’s easy to sit back and look at the world country by country and suggest that we needn’t do anything because there are other countries out there making it worse for the planet, but when is that ever the right attitude to have? Sure, me being vegan and using a reusable water bottle isn’t going to instantly solve all the world’s problems, but if we can each do our bit, however small, then together we can make change. If you’re thinking about going vegan or just having a vegan day once or twice a week, these two videos might help.

IS EXERCISE HEALTHY? HOW SHOULD YOU WORK OUT?

I feel that we’re almost scared to say that we’re working out for aesthetic reasons, because it might imply that we’re not happy with the body we have and therefore might have a bad mental relationship with our body. It’s important to recognise when you do have a bad relationship with food and exercise, but it’s also important to know that it’s ok to want to look good and there should be no shame in that. You have a soul that no doubt lights up a room when you walk in, but you also have every right to want to get a sweat on and feel like super woman (or man) for it and have a body that is strong, that you’re proud of. but I do think it’s ok to want a strong body and to want to lose a bit of weight if you’re doing it sensibly.
