there are no dull moments with my crew ☀️ Parenting can seem to feel like a series of “just get through the day” and when you can’t get outside to run off some of their energy the days can feel long. I always try to have something extra fun for them to do inside to make sure they’re getting their needs met (MOVEMENT, lol). They play so well together when we’ve given our play space a little spruce up and bring out something new for them to climb on and it helps me avoid extra screen time and overstimulation. Highly recommend @lilyandriver. a couple small simple ways I cut back on waste in our house: first, we swapped our paper towels for reusable ones! Now I don’t have to buy paper towels every grocery trip(saves $$), Aury can learn to clean up her messes without using a million paper towels that will just end up in the trash and we’re saving waste. Very similar to regular rags except more absorbent, thinner and much prettier sitting in your counter space or organized in your drawer/cabinet. These specific ones are from a @esembly, where we’ve gotten all our cloth diapers and much more items that help us become less wasteful! last week was SO busy! We starting tearing apart our kitchen and only got about half way through before Damion had to go back to work this week! Thankfully we had his family helping us or we wouldn’t have gotten nearly as much done as we have. But, we got out counters started! @zcounterform made these soo simple! Don’t get me wrong, they are still time consuming but I can’t IMAGINE trying to these counters with their amazing z forms. I knew I wanted some character and to keep some primitive style to the kitchen to keep it in line with the houses original charm, that’s how we landed on choosing concrete counters. We chose white because I adore white countertops but marble definitely was not it(and not in the budget), it didn’t fit my plans at all for how I wanted it to turn out. I liked the idea of butcher block but I wanted something more timeless. So there was no doubt this was the best route for us. We were able to do them with no big expensive tools and it’s so straightforward. This is just a small sneak peek of the process and they are still curing! So stay tuned for a full video and our final results! I can’t even tell you enough how much I love them and we haven’t even gotten half our kitchen back together.
