Bold Rock, the #2 cider brand in the United States has signed a partnership agreement to become part of Artisanal Brewing Ventures (ABV), a unique platform created to support the growth ambitions of leading regional craft adult beverage companies. Through this partnership, Bold Rock becomes ABV’s fourth partner brand, combining with its existing craft portfolio of Sixpoint Brewery, Southern Tier Brewing Company and Victory Brewing Company. ’s 80,000 barrels of craft cider and seltzer solidifies ABV’s position as one of the nation’s top ten regional craft adult alcohol beverage platforms. Bold Rock’s portfolio is a perfect complement to ABV’s other partner breweries by bringing consumers a leading hard cider, a new hard seltzer and a line of canned cocktails.

Founded in 2012, Bold Rock makes a variety of hard cider styles from apples picked in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and North Carolina. An original Bold Rock Cider Barn in Nellysford, VA, which features an innovative production facility and tasting room overlooking the Rockfish River Valley, and a recently expanded second production facility and taproom in Mills River, NC. With over 140 full and part-time employees, Bold Rock produces 12 styles of hard cider, including the popular originals Apple and Draft, a rotating mix of seasonal ciders, and the IPA (India Pressed Apple), the best-selling hopped cider in the country. Initially launching with a whiskey-infused Bold Fashioned at the Bold Rock Nellysford Cidery & Distillery on October 19, available at Virginia ABC locations in late October. Bold Rock is pleased to announce the Fall 2019 release of Craft Cocktails by Bold Rock, a new line of ready-to-drink canned cocktails crafted from American made spirits and all-natural ingredients. We believe Craft Cocktails by Bold Rock will nicely complement our broader line of hard cider and hard seltzer products while attracting new friends to the Bold Rock Family that appreciate and enjoy a spirited beverage. The Bold Fashioned from Craft Cocktails by Bold Rock will be produced at the Bold Rock Nellysford Cidery & Distillery with a release party scheduled for Saturday, October 19.

Bold Rock Hard Cider announced on July 1, 2019, that they are launching a campaign with the National Breast Cancer Foundation(NBCF) to raise money and awareness for this worthy cause. During the six-month campaign, a portion of Bold Rock Hard Cider’s sales from their Rosé styled cider will be donated to the NBCF. I know from personal experience that community, family, and friends make life easier when fighting a disease,” stated Elizabeth Allen, breast cancer survivor and member of the Bold Rock Hard Cider family. Over the course of the campaign, Bold Rock Hard Cider will be hosting events in an effort to spread awareness and knowledge, and to fundraise for this worthy cause.
