Highlights
A Weekend in Blowing Rock, North Carolina

There is a small museum explaining the history of the area and a small walking area to explore. Fun Fact: Blowing Rock is home to the Wizard of Oz theme park, Land of Oz. I only had two days in Blowing Rock and I actually wish I had planned it out better and stayed a little longer. I would like to thank The Meadowbrook Inn for hosting my stay while I was in Blowing Rock.

An Itinerary for a Weekend in Baltimore

On a quest for all things Edgar Allan Poe and the ultimate brunch spot I made my last stop on my month long road trip Baltimore. Since I was on a quest for Edgar Allan Poe it worked out nicely that the restaurant/bar in the hotel was the Poets and had Poe themed cocktails. It would be easy to spend hours here and its a great way to familiarize yourself with the history of Black Americans in Maryland. The tap house is located in Fell’s Point which is such a great area to hang out in.

Roanoke: A Must Stop in the Blue Ridge Mountains

When I need to work remotely I don’t necessarily want to sit in my room all day. There are a few breweries through out the city and it was a great way to explore with a local while sipping on the best of Roanoke. After a few weeks driving around it was great to find so much interesting and diverse food in one place. They have less on tap then the other breweries but they have some fun stuff including a pickle beer, sounds like it would be gross but is actually refreshing.

Your Perfect Richmond, VA Itinerary

This hotel is made up of 7 row houses and their attached carriage houses, built in the mid 1800’s, this hotel is perfect for feeling like you have stepped back in time while still enjoying all the amenities of now. It is a gray stone building with a courtyard garden that makes you feel like maybe Poe is lurking around the corner. This place is huge and you could spend a big portion of your day exploring its exhibits or just wandering the grounds which has large sculpture gardens, outdoor cafes and a confederate church. River City Food Tours is a great way to explore neighborhoods while eating delicious foods.
