I made myself a traditional Dalgona coffee today with whipped instant coffee, hot water, and sugar. It's placed on top of iced milk (I use Oatmik). Then when it's served, the guest (or yourself), slowly stirs the whipped coffee into your milk for a lovely smooth coffee. I prefer to drink it without a straw and then use the straw at the very end. I also love serving it in Pilsner or Martini glasses. It makes it so pretty. Making Turkish Coffee today. (scroll to the left). I was a little disappointed in the final result. I didn't get enough foam on the top and it tasted kind of weak. It was how I brewed it I know. It's been a super long time since I've brewed Turkish Coffee. I need to review how to brew it on @turkishcoffeeworld The Turkish delights always add a lovely touch to the coffee once it is poured into the cup. I used @turkishcoffeeworld 's Kurukaveci Mehmet Efendi. This one is pre-ground. They have other coffee that you can get whole bean. You have to use a manual grinder to get a powder form of the coffee. It's way finer than an espresso grind. The coffee pot is called a "Cezve" in Turkey and is more commenly referred to as an "Ibrik" in the rest of the world. I made "Vietnamese Coffee" for the first time ever. I've had it at a restaurant. I'm just taking this social distancing thing to create. To make Vietnamese coffee, you'll need a Vietnamese Phin or filter which you place over a glass. The Phin I have is 8 oz but I think I could go up to a larger size because it wasn't a lot of coffee, a little more than a demittasse. The coffee gets brewed in the Phin and gets filtered through into the glass. At the bottom of your glass, before you brew your coffee on in, add about a teaspoonful -tablespoonful of Sweet condensed milk. If you are vegan, you can can substitute maple syrup. After that, you pour hot water into the Phin after you set it on the glass. I have to video tutorial this. Once the coffee has brewed completely, remove the Phin and stir the coffee, mixing the Sweet condensed milk. I think it's heavenly. It's so smooth. You can drink it hot or cold. I'm also going to learn how to make Thai Iced Tea, which is very similar to the Vietnamese coffee. You just top it with evaporated milk.
