Hi, I’m Laurel. My blog Bay Rosemary is dedicated to travel, local food, arts and culture.

My Content I decided to blog primarily about travel so other women could feel comfortable leaving their state/home to travel. After 2020, I decided to share more about my current city and travel like a tourist at home. Currently based in Salt Lake City, UT, I typically share things to do in the city that are not on trip advisor's top 10 list (no shade). As a former ski instructor, my best strength is teaching and sharing tips to improve your vacations.

Why Bay Rosemary? Well, it is a translation of my name into English. Laurel = Bay, Romero = rosemary.

Bay Rosemary’s primarily female audience is interested in travel, scenic locations, local culture, art, and environmentally responsible products and gear that will improve their lifestyle.

Highlights
Review of Snowbird – Utah, USA

During my visit, capacity was limited due to covid-19 restrictions so we only had a small group of 25 in each car, but on a typical day you can expect to be packed like sardines with 200 people. Snowbird is located in Little Cottonwood Canyon, which means you might experience an interlodge if you visit during a heavy storm (Avalanche danger here is the highest in North America). : Purchase your day ticket online in advance or buy the Ski City Super Pass, which gives you access to Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird, and Alta without blackouts. Smoothie at Baked & Brewed or Pizza Slice at Tram Car (2nd floor of Snowbird Center) Burger and Hot Cocoa at Mid-Gad (on mountain) Advanced skiers & snowboarders who want the steeps and potential for an epic powder day.

Review of Solitude Mountain Resort – Utah, USA

Skiing at Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah is a great way to experience some of the best snow on Earth. They limit the number of tickets sold each day (even before 2020-21), which allows you to enjoy the mountain instead of standing in a lift line all day. The reason to stay here is to enjoy their sauna, hot tub, and heated pool after a long day crushing it on the mountain. What to Consider Solitude is located in Big Cottonwood Canyon, which means if your visit is on a snow day, the canyon might be closed due to avalanche danger.

Review of Brighton Resort – Utah, USA

Here is my full review of locals favorite Brighton Resort, which includes pros, cons, and tips for your visit: Brighton Resort is known as Utah’s first ski area, which means if you ask a local where they learned to ski, most likely they will say Brighton. It is located in one of the best snow locations in Utah, creating a recipe for epic powder days on the mountain. Tips for Your Trip to Brighton Resort Save money: Purchase your day ticket online in advance or buy the Ski City Super Pass, which gives you access to Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird and Alta without blackouts and includes ski bus fares. True slope slide accommodations with continental breakfast next to the Crest Express lift True ski & snowboard lovers who want to have fun in the snow.

Reasons to Purchase Travel Insurance

Next, you may want to purchase travel insurance to cover any changes in local ordinances that affect tourists. Be aware, if you choose to visit a country that your home country has issued a travel risk, insurance companies may not cover your trip. During the 2020 pandemic, travelers might have arrived in a country halfway across the world, only to have to go home after a couple of days. Whether you need to replace lost luggage or change your trip entirely, insurance might be able to help.
