❌Ramadan bazaar SG ✅Ramadan bazaar Sydney! My second time here and i just enjoy the vibes, sights and smells! 😍 My first time was definitely a really enjoyable one with everything so new to me, and the second time was almost the same, just that there were now like 5 cheesy kunafe stalls, compared to just one, in 2022? Camel paella and dumplings were definitely new. I also had sahlab, kashmiri chai, there were also murtabak and fajitas, all were the same since 2022. Come with me for iftar at the mosque in Europe! 🕌 My first time heading to a mosque for iftar during ramadan! I never had a layover in europe during ramadan, so i was excited to experience it. Previously i have been to two or three mosques around europe, and once I’ve been turned away in munich because there was no female prayer area, although there were no other men at the mosque at that point of time… Anyway this was a somali mosque and a sister i connected on IG invited me over! Have you tried fasting while overseas? I was surprised I managed to get the exact same layover ✈️ station as I had in 2022, so I decided to visit the local mosque there. I checked the Facebook page and apparently it was a BYO (Bring your own) iftar on that day onwards. 2022 was definitely more meriah 🎉 and more people - men were breaking fast outside with the sunset (!) And ladies ate indoors at the hall. But this year, everyone iftar indoors, and there were less people. I still had a memorable time, and I enjoy visiting different mosques 🕌abroad. I made some friends on my iftar table last year and I was looking forward to hopefully see them again for iftar this year! In the end i managed to meet with one of them right after taraweeh, and she could only remember when I said in that cabin crew 😂 My next reel will be iftar in a mosque in China! I went to one *pre covid * and the mosques architecture was honestly soooo interesting. It looks like a temple 🏯 with all the Chinese style architecture, and it is actually a mosque. Iftar was delicious chinese lamb dumplings🥟 😍 I came across another malaysian sister who was there at the mosque, and after she and her hubby invited me to have dinner together at the halal chinese stall just outside the mosque! I might have some snippets of it in my Snapchat hehe. Im slowly learning to just experience life as it goes and just be more present in the moment.🌙 #sgfoodie #ramadan2024
