I am a professional photographer, speaker, writer and blogger based in the Pacific Northwest. I have spent 10 years building a successful photography studio and have turned that business into a corporation; creating and running conferences, mentorship programs and traveling across the globe speaking to small business owners and creatives as a business professional, all while raising two small children and serving and giving back to my community.

My platform exists to inspire the beginning entrepreneur, the working or stay-at-home mom and every woman in between. I encourage and motivate women though beautiful imagery & storytelling.

My followers range from early 20s college age girls who are inspired to find themselves traveling the globe, the first time mom trying to find balance in her new world to those in mid-life looking to FINALLY grab life by the horns. I currently reside in Seattle, WA with my Youtuber/photographer husband and our two precious daughters, Wisdom (age 7) and Courage (8 months).

I told you before how much I love Dr. Browns, but let me get into the nitty gritty of “why.” ⁣ ⁣ It is rare to find a baby brand that covers ALL of your needs and with #twoundertwo, I have a lot of them. ⁣ ⁣ Dr. Brown carries all of the feeding supplies I need for both my toddler and infant and when they transition to the next level, I can just size up to the next product I need.   ⁣ ⁣ As a momma, it’s such a relief to have a one-stop shop for all of my kids' growing pains and joys. ⁣ ⁣ Glory, is transitioning from fully breastfed to bottle at some feedings to allow other family members in on the fun, and Courage is transitioning from sippy cup to big girl cup as she learns to drink more independently, and I can find everything I need for both girls @drbrowns ⁣  ⁣ 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 done!⁣  ⁣ #sponsored #MyDrBrownsBaby #HappyFeeding #drbrowns #celebratingmoms #ambassador⁣

Schools 🚌 out for the summer!!☀️ ⁣ ⁣ You guys, today is the LAST day of school, finally! ⁣ ⁣ This girl enter fall of 2019 in 2nd grade, with a new little sister. Then 2020 came, and like you, our world stopped. ⁣ ⁣ No vacations, no birthday parties, no play dates, no one but me, her dad and her sister.⁣ ⁣ With 6 months of 2nd grade under her belt she started fall in a 3rd/4th grade split. The teacher taught to the 4th graders and those seven 3rd graders kept the pace. 😩🙌🏾⁣ ⁣ I had a very hard pregnancy, labor and delivery and postpartum recovery with Glory, and still every day, she woke up, logged herself into school and stayed the course. Self-motivated, positive attitude and adding so much to a rough season 😍⁣ ⁣ I remember during parent/teacher conferences earlier this year, I had to admit I was doing a poor job managing her school experience and I asked the teacher, “is she turning her stuff in, because she always tells me she’s done with work?” And to my shock, she was turning it in, and killing it.⁣ ⁣ My baby has worked so hard to stay focused and committed through such a tough season, and honestly with very little credit to us, because, have you met Courage? 😂😂 ⁣ ⁣ I am so happy we made it to the last day of the weirdest school season of life. I’m also so thrilled that Wisdom was here for Courage’s first steps, watching her grow, Glory’s birth and every moment in between. I hate the circumstance for which it happened, but I’m so thankful for the bonds that have been merged because of it. ⁣ ⁣ 🎉We have a 4th grader y’all! 🎉 And I’m about to give her the summer of her life! ⁣🙏🏾 ⁣ today’s agenda: skipping school ✅ ⁣ ⁣ 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿? ⁣ ⁣ Also, #happynationalselfieday swipe to see how amazing Wisdom and I are at selfies 🤟🏾⁣ ⁣ Happy Monday loves! ⁣

Not sure how to celebrate on this *NEWLY appointed* federal holiday? 💡 ⁣ ⁣ Here are some simple ways that you can join in:⁣ ⁣ ✊🏾 reach out to a Black friend and let them know how happy you are to celebrate ⁣ ⁣ ✊🏾 volunteer or donate to a local organization or non-profit that works to elevate or provide opportunities to the Black community⁣ ⁣ ✊🏾 spend some time in research on Black history + this specific holiday ⁣ ⁣ ✊🏾watch a movie about abolitionist and Reconstruction of America⁣ ⁣ ✊🏾 find a cookout and eat⁣ ⁣ ✊🏾 pay reparations. Sow into or gift a Black family, business, person with no labor in mind for exchange. DM for cash app or Venmo if you’re feeling generous LOL 😉😂⁣ ⁣ On June 19th, 1865 the Union soldiers, led by General Granger, landed in Galveston, TX with the news that the war has ended and that slaves were free, BUT this was 2.5 years after the Emancipation Proclamation was put into place by President Abraham Lincoln on January 1, 1863. ⁣ ⁣ The reactions of the news ranged from pure shock to jubilation, that FINALLY all that had been enslaved were “free.”⁣ ⁣ Juneteenth celebration is a time for reassuring each other, praying and for gathering remaining family members, as the free slaves did when they arrived to Texas.⁣ ⁣ Slaves were not stolen from Africa: people with families and careers were. ⁣ ⁣ Thank goodness for freedom-ish. ⁣🙌🏾 ⁣ This is why we celebrate. ⁣ ⁣ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆? ⁣ ⁣ Let me know in the comments and watch my stories to see how our day unfolds!⁣ ⁣ 🗣Juneteenth is here, now and forever! Walking into the weekend like…⁣ ⁣ #juneteenth is a holiday. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾⁣ ⁣ The truth is I don’t really know how I feel, but more about that in my stories…. 🥴⁣ ⁣ But I don’t need my FEELINGS to celebrate, so let’s go! ♥️🖤💚⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆? ⁣ Growing up food was never fun, so when it comes to raising my kids, I do everything I can to make food a bit of an adventure. ⁣ I want my girls to feel empowered and inspired to try different foods, experience different textures and to see mealtimes as a practice of exploration, which is why I love when they get the chance to lead, do what’s natural and play with their food. Playing with their food can get a bit messy, but sensory play and discovery is one of the best ways I have found to make mealtimes fun for everyone involved. ⁣ ⁣ @littlebellies aligns with my goals and helps me to introduce new tastes and flavors in fun, bite size and nutritional shapes that my girls can get excited about. ⁣ ⁣ Little Bellies snacks are certified organic, with no artificial colors, flavors or additives. The snacks are age-appropriate with just the right textures, tastes and portions. Little Bellies encourages parents to ‘do what’s natural’ and that includes encouraging little ones to play with food! ⁣ ⁣ Courage is obsessed with chips, so this is a guilt-free snack I can feel good about giving her with the crunchy textures she has grown to love.⁣ ⁣ 𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱? Head to my stories to check out all of the variety of flavors. ⁣ ⁣ #Partner #LittleBelliesUSA #LetsPlayWithFood

Black Babywearing Week is June 17th-24th and it’s important because the Black Babywearing population shown online and in advertising are underrepresented and often overlooked, when Black people have been wearing their babies for centuries.⁣ 🤯 ⁣ Images we see of modern day baby wearing moms are almost always white and the messaging that many Black moms have grown up with over the years was not to hold the baby. That by holding the baby we spoil them, thought patterns developed + rooted in slavery to protect mothers from getting too attached. ⁣ ⁣ Black Babywearing Week was created to celebrate the traditions and joys of black baby wearers and this years theme is #ourblackjoy⁣ ⁣ "Although there was a time in our history when Black caregivers feared getting 'too attached' to their babies, just in case they were ripped apart, we are here now, babywearing proudly, as it's our birthright, bringing light to our history, honoring the way our ancestors wore babies, and embracing our future. This is why Black Babywearing Week is important." - @rayethedoula⁣ ⁣ When Wisdom was born, I didn’t know many Black women who wore their babies, so I didn’t wear her but as I researched more about my history, wearing our babies is who we are, so I decided to BECOME the woman. ⁣😉 ⁣ Wearing my babies has helped develop me as a mother. It’s kept them close to me and helped me naturally create safety for them. ⁣ It makes me feel strong and capable, even with a little one attached. It’s allowed me to get back to work, and most importantly, it gives me insight into how my ancestors were able to achieve so much while also mothering. ⁣ ⁣ “Baby wearing has played a major part in African culture for centuries. It It has been passed down from generation to generation," - @deyonnadoula⁣ ⁣ I proudly wear my babies WITH JOY to re-position Black mother’s back in the conversation. For myself, and for the Black moms who are coming up after me. ⁣ ⁣ 👋🏾 Were you a baby wearer? Did you make the connection between baby wearing and Black/African and Indigenous cultures? ⁣ ⁣ What are your fave BIPOC baby wearing brands? Drop them below so I can add some new wraps.⁣ ⁣ @blackbabywearingweek for more 💕

Five months postpartum and I still look pregnant🤰🏾 ⁣ I didn’t bounce back. ⁣😞 ⁣ I thought I would be so much further by now, but I can’t compete with a pandemic, or chasing two babies, growing two-full time businesses and raising a young family.⁣ ⁣ Instead of watching the scale, I watched my baby as she smiled, coo’d and grew.⁣ ⁣ Instead of counting calories, I counted freezer bags of breast milk, that I could provide her because I was filling up my body, so I could fill up hers. ⁣ ⁣ Instead of exercising, I exercised my right to lean into this NEW version of myself with no agenda to rush back to who I was before this life change. ⁣ ⁣ Yesterday, @thebirdspapaya shared these words:⁣ ⁣ “𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘦: ⁣ ⁣ 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶. ⁣ ⁣ 𝘚𝘰 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘩 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘦. ⁣ ⁣ 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘦.”⁣ ———————⁣ So I embrace where I am right now, taking it one day at a time. For me, for you, and for these three little girls who look up to me who might one day be mothers too, because I never want them to think that’s all they’re bodies were meant to do. ⁣ ⁣ We grow, we stretch, we change, we shift and we celebrate and honor the brilliance of our bodies right in the midst. ⁣ ⁣ I’m 5 months postpartum and I still look pregnant. ⁣ ⁣ I didn’t bounce back and that’s okay…⁣ ⁣ but look, just look at what I DID do 😍⁣ ⁣ 📷: @andrialindquist 👚: all clothing @raisedbywater⁣ ⁣ I specifically had these images taken to showcase exactly where I am in this moment. I don’t feel like myself and I’m so uncomfortable in my own skin, but I needed a reminder of the fruit for the cause: My sweet beautiful baby girls, and I will not spend this season hiding. #postpartumweightloss #postpartumbelly #postpartumlife #postpartumhealth #postpartumhealing

5 Months of ✨Glory✨ This little girl is my joy. She makes the hard days lighter. She lifts me in a way I can’t even put into words and every single day with her is so beautiful. I don’t say that because she’s my kid. I say it because it’s true. I’ve never met a happier baby and I’m in awe that she’s mine. We’ve made it 5 months. She’s survived an older sister who can be a little bit rough, a middle sister who think she’s her doll baby, a mom who makes potentially bad decisions (see my stories for THE story 🙃) and a dad who forgets to put the breast milk back in the fridge… Our Glory is the ✨light✨of all of our lives, I can say that with full confidence. We all look for her. We all delight in her. We’re all so thankful for her. She is what our world was missing and we didn’t even know. Here’s to our chunky, drooly, happy, joyful teething baby girl! Thank you for an incredible 5 months in the “ghetto.” The ghetto: where an infant and toddler reside at the same place, in many cases known as #twounder2 👀 thank you for this descriptor @themomference I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else! Happy Saturday - and as always, swipe for the growth! #4thtrimester #twoundertwo #twoundertwomom #twoundertwoclub #postpartumjourney #postpartum
